I prefer to have equal venting each blade to minimize exhaust rumble at idle. It doesn’t matter otherwise as when you accelerate the exhaust mixes throughout.

The Tempest Plus is just about the same thing as a Yamaha Pro Series M or M2
Me either... I love it.
Great advice.
I think it’s pretty cool
Yes, It matters a lot! Unless you swap your lower unit to a left hand at the same time.
:mug:
Marks Razor4-XL is 15 in diameter. It can run high.
23p Tempest plus
I’m sorry, I assumed that all Yamaha outboards had one. I very well could be wrong.
Those gears are no issue. Just 1 inch pitch change up or down compared to 2.0:1 or 1.75:1 gears. Test a 25P Bravo1 FS or XS..... Or Marks Razor4 XL.
I bought a giant syringe made for removing the oil... I hear that they work great...
Clean the poppet/pressure relief valve first. Look for debris holding open the system reducing water pressure.
I'd ask him about his Bravo1 style prop,,, Razor4 XL.
You might want to get a 22P Bravo1 FS or XS.... Or Marks Razor4 XL.
If you’re looking for speed, try a 23 pitch tempest plus. I prefer a 23-24 Bravo1 FS or Marks Razor4-XL
VMX?
TXP, T1, VMX, Solas Scorpion are a few options
TRO4* Trophy Plus copy.
Fred, Is this the right info you needed?
:beers:
23 Tempest plus with a light load and no power poles... 22P Bravo1 FS or XS for a load or rough water. Much better all around prop. Make sure the throttle linkage is getting full pull at the motor.
Amazing and inspirational.
I like fast boats and fishing.... I can do both on the same day. Both bring me joy!
Something wrong with that? :confused2: And I'm 10 years older than you.
That boat will run 10 to 12% slip. The fury propellers run a pitch stiff making them look like less slip.
