Had a 6"4 spinning rod a couple of years back, well built, nice taper and well balanced, not impressed with sensitivity
no more AGS Guides, kinda disapointing to me
I was hoping DAIWA has more USDM offerings in and around 300$, BLX and Swagger are JDM and model options are limited
IMO the AGS guides add quite a bit sensitivity. never handled the non AGS tatula elite...the 71MFS AGS is more sensitive than Rebellion 71MFS in my hands, and the Rebellion has decent sensitivity...
Last year I went to a local shop with 2 friends, one of them picked up a St croix Victory 68MXF, I had it in my hand for a minute and felt not bad, then the other guy picked up a Kage 66MXF walleye...
71M Rebellion is definitely a good buy, IMO it has a similar taper to Steez AGS 71M, respectable sensitivity and a durable blank
heard some rumors that new Tatula Elite series is coming? if they...
I also had a Expride A 2610ML and also caught A LOT of smallies until it snapped first outing last year(my fault). I had Expride B same model for a little while, and I remember 2610ML B felt a little...
I own Graphiteleader 17 Finezza Prototype 610UL solid tip, Shimano Poison Glorious 2610-S, and Shimano Soare Ci4 610 HS (hard solid tip) which is a ajing rod very similar to the 18 Corto 610 listed...
I picked up a few OSP Dolive Beaver last year and it was great using them on Free rig when bass season opened here after spawn...until soon I realized the durability on these baits were terrible. so...
this is the latest news I found on the Super Stallion GT3RS
https://www.lurenewsr.com/239158/
71ML I have is the cork current generation. I have both 71M and 71ML and I like them a lot better than the previous generation 76MML. bite detections are fabulous and taper is true fast and...
never throw any treble hooks on the Steez 71ML so can't speak to that. Tip definitely stiffer/faster than Expride 2610ML, also faster than the previous blackblue Steez AGS 76MML I have. It does bend...
I have Steez AGS 71ML and had owned Expride A 610ML, Expride B 610ML along with a few other Expride (no 7L nor 72ML though). IMO Expride is not at the same level speaking to sensitivity. they are...
Consider it investing
:beers:
Reading again and if I can only bring 2 EG rods to cover bottom contact AND moving baits for 1/4 to ~3oz weight, Stallion RS + Black Rose may be the best one two punch from the line up...
I'm glad you spoke to a long lasting question in my head - should I give those fantastic but slightly overweight EG rods an opportunity? a lot of people probably don't even mind at all but I found...
WOW!!!
spent the past 30+ mins on this single post. and I am pretty sure I will come back many times
Personally I don't have plan to replace spinning gear with bait casting, just looking for the right one (or the best one I can afford) for heavier applications, as I started to throw heavier lures...
Love reading your post sir!
so from the pure sensitivity perspective, albeit Rapid Gunner RSR is the most sensitive heavy bottom contact rod based on what i read through your many posts, those 4...
I like the thought process behind...:praying: what would you pick for 1/2 jack hammer + trailer?
Sir I'm 1000% sure I would enjoy reading through whatever you are gonna tell in whatever format:beers:
what about the spinning rods?
looking forward to some info on the new Addermine vs. old one as well as vs. Landsat other than the power difference...
good for you! up here where i live it is still a ice fishing reason
I did some bending test at home and the new 2610ML seems a lot stiffer, it is actually closer to the 610ML Olympic Vigore, which...
My new Expride 2610ML has a noticeable stiffer tip than previous version. not sure how much the difference is on the water yet but they are definitely not the same.
how do you like the quick drag on the Airity sir? any benefits over the regular drag? I am a bit concerned it might cause overtightening and line breaking when fighting fish...I have not used one of...
