Just remember to try and keep your transducer cables as far away from your power cables as possible. Same goes for your speaker wires.

Never in a million years would I have thought that would have caused it. Has to be an internal short that gets worse with vibration.
I will be cutting the solenoid open to get a better look.
SOLVED! Boat was really messin up today as soon as it hit the water. At 2k rpm it was cuttin in and out. Turn it off and try again and it runs for a while then dies while at WOT. Start cruising at...
The procedure is in the service manual for adjusting the set screw for the throttle idle position, which is pretty self explanatory. Dont have access to any CDS.
This is just for the idle obviously,...
Nevermind. Found the procedure in the manual.
Is that a part that can be ordered? The local techs around here seem to be useless so it may just be easier for me to replace rather than trust them to adjust it correctly.
UPDATE: Left the boat with a Merc mechanic for 2 weeks. He changed plugs and cleaned injectors. Said boat was good to go. Took it out and same thing is still going on. Very noticeable at 2000 rpm....
Thanks
Thanks. Replaced fuel filters and IAC today with no luck. Will check TPS and plate.
Done. Sorry about that.
Is that solenoid air valve just the IAC? If so that wouldnt cause the issue at WOT would it?
Thanks for the response. My Bro in law has the boat today and it happened 3 times today while at WOT. So its not just happening while decellerating.
Any ideas?
Only maint has been an oil change. Engine only had 10 hrs on it when bought 4 months ago. Serial #1C169167
Fuel is fresh
Twice today my engine died when going from WOT to an idle quickly. It also stuttered a few times while at idle.
Engine itself only has about 20 hours on it. Anyone had this issue?
Serial #1C169167
HaHa I looked at it for hours trying to find and easier way but pulling the engine is the only way since the degreaser didnt solve the problem.
Are your transducers mounted crooked? looks like the plate is straight and your transducers are crooked.
Will do.
Bought the boat a few weeks ago and it only had 9 hours on it after 6 years. Steering is backbreaking even with both hands. The problem has been narrowed down to the pivot/steering tube on the engine...
The Beam shoots off the end of the transducer im assuming so it should be clear of the plug and speed sensor. There is nothing on the other side of transducer but I couldnt see anything on either...
Water was about 30ft deep and I was looking out 80ft each side initially. Played with the range but nothing got clearer. The Hz range was left at default. Not sure if it can be changed on this...
Recently installed a Helix 5 and got it out on the water Saturday. Side Imaging was almost non-existent. Down Imaging was fine. Is my transducer mounted correctly? Unfortunately I forgot to take a...
Hi all! Recently purchased a 2012 Tracker TXW and installed a Humminbird Helix 5 SI. Finally took the boat out this Saturday and the images were terrible. So bad that I dont think its my settings....
