Hennessey does an excellent job and their techs know how to do it right. They should be able to get you squared away.
That still doesn't answer the question... there are multiple generations of the Ultrex. Which generation of Ultrex are you wanting to compare the Ultrex Quest to?
So, with the newest generation of Minn Kota bow mount motors, there is an Ultrex Quest (brushless) and an Ultrex non-Quest (brushed). I doubt that anybody has any experience with both of these new...
Yeah, I have to use slot 2 for my VX Card as well, but just thought it was a quirk with my unit. Haven't had any issues with sharing the card to my other two Apex units though.
No other issues I'm aware of. I haven't seen any VX Chip issues, so not sure what that is. My Apex units seem picky about how I insert any card, VX included, but that has been an issue since day 1...
Water temp not displaying on Solix and Apex is a known network issue from the last update... I reported it to humminbird.
The workaround is to go to the Network/Data Sources, make another...
Always open to learning something new! Thanks for the clarification.
Just make sure you have the same waypoint formats on both units... there are 3 different GPS Formats for waypoint data.
Waypoints are totally separate from chart cards. They are saved in memory on Humminbird units and are displayed as an overlay on whatever chart card you are using. The chart cards will have overlay...
The Mega 360 has two separate imaging piezos. Each fills one half of the screen as it sweeps. Not sure what you mean by "the image will not stay on the screen" but if 1/2 of the screen looks correct...
The answer is yes, but exactly how you do it varies with the brand and model of motor. If you don't have a NMEA 2000 backbone already, you will need to add that, as I think all the solutions go...
If you haven't downloaded the One-Boat-Network Operations Guide, it is available on the Humminbird/Support/Manuals site. It also has information on transferring waypoints.
Yes, the update instructions say to apply the control head updates first and then update Mega Live. I don't think you hurt anything. As long as both were applied, you should be OK. You may have to do...
Unfortunately, there is typically no quick way to get to the bottom of intermittent network issues. You just have to go through a methodical problem resolution process. Any intermittent network...
It has worked for some with touchscreen issues... as well as a several other solix issues.
No. That can only be done with Solix and Apex. There is no view option for this on the Helix.
You didn't say which units you have, but on Solix and Apex you go to the screen where you select your sonar sources for each type of imaging. When you select Mega Live when you have two Mega Live...
Also, it's helpful to be able to power off the switch when making network connection changes to reset everything. If it would be cut off by a whole boat switch, that would work as well.
Try cleaning the wet switch... the 2 metal dots.
If still under the 2 year warranty, contact Humminbird.
You might want to take a look at this video I posted on YouTube. Be sure to read the description before watching the video. Pollen is not the only thing that can cause unwanted surface returns... all...
Are you sure you didn't inadvertently turn the brightness down to 1, or put it in night mode, so it wouldn't be visible in the daylight?
I have heard that adding a brace voids the Mega 360 warranty, but I haven't verified that claim.
You can use the Mega Live Interference Rejection setting on your standalone unit but it can only control the sequencing and duration of the sonar sources it can access, which is only sonar sources...
