Congrats! Wish it would've work for me....are you running a MG?
Whats the deal with the ultrex?
They wasn't with me! They couldn't understand why I needed it on the bow anyhow...!
I hope you have better luck with them. Let us know if you get it resolved.
Kevin - I think for whatever reason the MG is putting out frequencies that are interfering with our transducers that seems to be the way it's going to be which I don't really understand...
Im...
No sir!
I took my cranking battery off my charger to see if it was contributing to the interference and never hooked it back up. I usually fish enough where my cranking battery is good to go being charged by...
Yeah I reckon I'm going to have to live with it. I've done all I can think of so I'm going to wait Kevin out and see if he can fix his. In the meantime I may do some motor swapping and see what...
Kevin have you talked to MG? I talked to them yesterday and he led me to believe I was going to have to live with it?? He said they don't recommend using a external transducer on their TM even though...
I installed the internal ground in the head of the TM and hope to try it Saturday.
Whats the odds of the panoptics being interfered with if this doesn't clear the other? It's just been sitting in...
Ok may try this. I talked to a authorized dealer earlier and he said it wouldn't make much of a difference because the brushes are already grounded internally?? He gave me a few more things to try......
Kevin I'm experiencing a lot of interference on my MG. I've done most of everything you've done without success. Would you recommend bringing mine to shop and getting that internal ground?
Ive never tried to post a pic but will try. Yes it's not as bad when in shallow water but it's still pretty bad at 20' and deeper.
I havent even taken my panoptics out of the box because I figure...
Well adding a battery and connecting that ground helped a lot but still a good bit of interfernce left. Do y'all think adding that internal ground will help? I think they call it shunting the ground...
Thanks.
So I have a 36v trolling motor that was using the cranking battery for trolling also. I added a 4th battery so I could dedicate the cranking battery for electronics and cranking. Now I have the TM on...
So the ground from skeg hooked up to TM and not the ground the unit is hooked to?
When you run a wire from skegg on TM to ground....is that the same as grounding the brushes inside of motor? I'm kinda confused...
Glad to see someone fix the interference issue! It gives me hope...
Will you update us on weather or not your homemade shielding works?
Thanks
I sure hope not! Let us know how it goes
I really want it on trolling motor for the panopticon. I haven't installed it yet because I figure it would be worse...
Just installed one on my trolling motor and it has severe interference while trolling! I have a older motorguide tour edition 36v. Ive tried grounding every which way and fixing to drop motor off at...
Is the wires easily seen so I can avoid cutting them? Are they ran I a tube or something?
Thanks guys! I'm definitely going to look into it here pretty soon.
Does it it weaken the deck any or is it still good and solid?
Thanks guys. I'll check the Ranger board
Hello all I was browsing around and ran across this forum so decided to join in! Hope 2017 brings a good fishing season to everyone!!
