After looking at the four stroke weights i can see why the boat is only rated for a 75. A 300 hp 2.5 litre merc is only a few pounds more.

i have been told before that the tank sender only transmits low oil and the sender on the pump is the one that triggers the no oil. The primer is certainly hard and it is using oil for sure.
