Please ignore the file naming - Lowrance has totalled screwed it up. All you need to know is that if the release is a higher number its newer.
I have Lowrance release documentation explaining...
For SS3D I believe the versions in order are:
V4
18.2-60.1.134
18.2-60.1.142
18.3-61.1.123
19.1-62.1.108
A pretty safe combo that works is running 18.3-61.1.123 on both Carbon & SS3D. It's...
I have 18.2 for both carbon and SS3D. If you need it send me a PM and I'll reply with a dropbox link.
Just don't ask me for version 4 - I'd have to go digging for that one on another computer.
A lot of the newer updates applied additional filtering to remove the prop-wash or turbulence caused by propellor aeration of water column.
This has also had the negative effect of filtered out some...
2016ranger520 & Stratos_185 check your PM's for dropbox link
Thought someone would have responded by now.
Check your inbox I've sent you a link to dropbox with Carbon 18.3-61.1.123 in there & SS3D 18.3-61-1-123.
Team, Which 18.3 do you recommend? I've got at least 3 differentt versions on my computer and have found they give slightly different sidscan results i.e. 155 is worse than .123 and .133.
I'm about...
You need to go to file on the SD once your unit is loaded, then manually select to load the 18.3 update file. Don't have 19.1 on your SD as once it restarts it'll then auto-update back to 19.1 which...
You need to be running at least 18.3 system software for the 3-in-1 to work on a Carbon. If it's older it aint gonna work.
See Post #3.
It says go to PAGES, then STORAGE (for Live) or FILES (for Carbon), then WALLPAPER, then copy your image into the WALLPAPER.
Just load a .jpeg to microSD card, select it and press...
Just played with my carbons. Going through system settings and turning off audio doesn't work, left sidebar still there. John Hagins solution of power button and tap audio works but must be done...
Did you actually try the 3D? Your post implies you did yet and never saw enough improvement to justify it over LSS2? Its widely recognized that the 3D is still better than a 3-in-1.
Could be that the jolt causes a temporary loss of connection, or it trips some sort of internal fuse/wiring? Has happened t me before, no real fix other than to drive more carefully.
I've found my 3D/carbon gives better images than my 3-in-1/carbon. If money is no object the choice is easy, if you have a budget the 3-in-1 is still pretty good. I've run a bunch of tests on water...
As Yup said depends what ports you have available.
If you decide to upgrade to a Live later they dont have a blue port so black would be better.
But... If you decide to add structurescan (LSS2...
I'll try that as I asked once before and never got an answer. It's a bit of screen space that's wasted for me, so every little bit counts. Thanks - hoping it works.
Like Donnieg said hold menu key, then can bring it back whenever you want, hold menu gone again. easy!
Thanks guys, don't think I'll spend the $ on the airmar at this stage, but sounds like it's worth pulling out the 83/200 and replacing with the HDI since it's just sitting around. A job for next...
So are you saying Chirp is better in really shallow water under 20feet? I've read a few guys with the Tm150 say they just use 105hz in shallow water? Also do you think there's any difference between...
Any follow up advice, I'm currently in the same situation. I have a standard 83/200 installed, but have a spare HDI 83/200/455/800 lying around, but requires rewiring my boat to swap it in. Will the...
Which software version?
I have a feeling this is exactly what we will see. They have "blocked" 800hz in the current SS3D. It's pretty clear why...
The effect possibly wont make any difference. As I said above the elements are already positioned better in the current SS3D.
I expect the new AI SS3D will simply add back 800hz. The current SS3D...
It's a bit of a gimmick/marketing thing. Doesn't actually mean much other than the elements are better directed. It's not like images are active and moving or live to look at etc.
"Active Imaging...
