I couldn't say but I also have an h18 on order and I have found that by phoning the factory in Arkansas, I was able to get answers to my various questions on weight, dimensions, etc... They've been...
I've had one on order that's supposed to be off line in January. I'm pretty excited.
Trim down or raise motor height... Either should cure your ills. Be mindful of port/starboard weight distribution too.
Sorry for the late reply but yes this is Crooked Lake/Babson Park. Use the coordinates in the pic. Good luck! Steve
I ran the standard 4m for the first 125 hours to make sure everything was good and seated. Then I switched to the 4m synthetic. I did so at the recommendation of Yamaha outboard technical...
My SHO has been amazing. 100 plus hours now, and running strong. Fires up fast, has of power, gets great mileage, and looks cool too, lol.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Looks like mine is reading "normal."
Could you guys tell me what's normal. I know the gauges read differeng with L-shaped tank and all. But when mine reads 1/8 tank, it's got 17 gallons left. Anyone ever test this at the pump? I did...
Just got caught up on this read. Glad you and your son are ok. Im sorry about your boat too.
go by the book, BUT keep the engine trimmed down fully to keep it loaded up. have patience, the metalurgy is hard as hell. it can take 20 plus hours to seat. check your oil level every 2 hours for...
mine did that around hour 10, and never did it again. Same situation too.... putting boat back on trailer. My oil was an inch over full though.
I'm so proud to be a Phoenix boat owner. Those guys at the plant have taken such wonderful care of me. I wouldn't own anything else, and speak their good name every chance I get. Well done Phoenix...
Im a previous owner. Quality is not as good as the competition.
normal to trickle at speed... 16 psi wot here
I started a few of the oil making threads and had one of the 2010 models. My issues cleared up when the motor finally broke in... which took about 30 hours or so. Today, the motor runs strong and...
Get well soon Clinton - we love you! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Great choice. You are going to love it. Keep the nose burried for the first 10 hoirs and break in by the book. No extensive idling! Check the oil level every 2 hours for the first 10. Good luck!
All good stuff Falcoon. I actually called Yamaha Customer Care on the use of syntjetic. They recommended it but only after i had at least 80 hours on the motor, and not until then. I plan to make the...
Its normal. Mine is the same way. It wont take a drop if the fill hole side is lower than the other side. Turn the boat around with the fill sife higher, and it takes it on fast.
Thanks! Im quite releaved myself.
Final Update:
It stopped after 20 hours and has been steady on the stick for the past 10. I've been using it normally - cruising between 3000-5000rpm and idleing around using side scan.
right , more octane is slower/cooler burn unless the engine has the cylinder pressure to take advantage of it.
marathon's recreation 90 non-ethanol 90 octane has been working great in mine

I will do that Doug. Should be between January and March down here. I'll keep an eye on the area and get some clearer shots with the beds full.
