Went from a 2015 Caracal to a 2017 921 Elite, kept the 921 the least amount of time of any boat I've ever owned. Back to a Cat. I am sure I'll try something different again, but it's hard to consider...
Running a Helix 15 on the dash of my Eyra, like the 15 size, wish I had space for another. Where I find myself frustrated is selecting active panes when mapping and marking structure. At times it...
I'll consider this a shout out. And yes, in the shadows is the most appropriate place for someone like myself to be when we don't sponsor the boards. The rod sponsor doesn't need my voice in the mix...
Took a long time to get that rod right and a lot of the blank design/ guide placement aspects came from a surf rod. :thumb up2:
The Victory and Legend Tournament Bass 710HM and 710XHM rods are equally as good and better for your application; personally I'd go with the XHM that will do 6-10XDs really well.
...Victory typically gets compared to NRX.
I had a 921 in between my 2015 Caracal and my 2022 Eyra - I owned the 921 the shortest of any boat I ever purchased. For me, and it was likely because of the colors I picked, the boat aged...
I live on the LDF Chain so I am a little partial. :beers:
Close second would be the Three Lakes chain due to having family cabin there for over 20 years. Next would be the Manitowish Waters for...

Legend Tournament Bass LBTC710XHF with the GRASP handle! :thumb up2:
Just updated to the latest that was released 9/13. Update install went perfect. Got out on the water today and in water less than 12-15' the ring interference from 360 is awful, to the point I have...
I am convinced over a period of time it can build up and cause a haze on the glass that is really hard to get off. I use Bass Boat Saver after pulling it out of the water, Slick Mist after each wash.
This is nothing like a jig ripper.... wait for the full release. :beers:
Looking at buying a second bigger water boat [Great Lakes] and dont want to break the bank before I decide how much we use it. Ran across an older 2004 Pro V Lund in really good condition. Motor...
Legend Tournament LBTC72MM, IACT glass rod which is two forms of carbon fiber, and glass in one, but not a composite rod. If you can get one - they are straight fire for what you are looking to do!
Very similar. That was the big complaint about previous Legend Tournament, the bulb behind the seat. I hated it. I don't fish with my hand on the handle much, it's palming the reel.
Good information, but not exactly true anymore.
Victory is SCIII+ which is a combination of SCIV and SCVI, it the lightest rod of the group you mentioned and at $200 gets compared to rods almost...
Agreed. There is a reason they have been sold out since the release...
I wouldn't be afraid to do this as well with them. Don't let the heavy scare you, it's not a broom stick...
Croix built two rods specific for speed worms - I was on the testing team for both of them.
Victory 73HXF (VTC73HXF)
Legend Tournament 73HXF (LBTC73HXF)
I threw a SK Cut-r, Zoom/ Bitters, RI...
Looking for options in adding a third unit to the front of my Eyra dedicated to Live Imaging only. For people that have done this, can you share photos? Right now I am intending to use a Ballzout...
WTF. How do people come up with this stuff? It will not void your warranty throwing a heavier lure... not with a Croix at least.
It will not void your warranty. Buy either the Victory 711HMF/...
Don't assume this.
I started fishing almost all top water applications on braid to mono leader configurations. In clear water - long leaders (48")... shorter in stained water. I use 'winged' reels exclusively. As long...
Hands down the 710 XHM Victory St. Croix. Rock Star! It was designed to do exactly what you are asking for all the way up to a 10XD. Extremely light as well. Compare the specs. They are calling it...
