DSR has a slower taper and is not as "crisp". casts further in my hands than the Daemos and works well with some trebles (lipless, whopper plopper).
the Daemos is great for t-rig, small jigs,...
curado 70, aldebaran 50, aldebaran mg (core).
although the curado 70 is a little bigger than the aldebaran 50, it feels more comfortable in my smallish hands.
i have never fished the Brailist but the FMJ is my favorite jig rod. i agree with kickerfish1 that a 1/4oz and 1/2oz jigs are for two different rods. I believe the FMJ is a little more versatile than...
fmj
I have smaller hands. 95% of the time that i am fishing, i am palming the reel with all fingers north of the trigger. I have noticed that with NRX and new GLX rods the trigger is a few millimeters...
id look at the jdm aldebaran for around $300 or the curado 70/71
looks great. i have the FMJ, Daemos, DSR and 2018 FSS from your list.
I love fishing plastics on the Daemos. 1/4-3/8oz plus plastic. senkos too. I fish whopper ploppers and lipless with the DSR...
traded a nrx 873 for the FMJ and i am very glad i did. best jig rod ive fished by far.
i use 3 depending on lure weight. Hein, 2018 XX FSS and oneten special
NRX 852s!
nrx 852
Destroyer FMJ, Aldebaran Mg7, 15lb Shooter (sometimes braid)
it didnt take long for me to switch over because i had always used left handed spinning reels. its so much easier to work the bait with my dominant hand, i couldnt believe i didnt do it years before.
id love to see a high end magnesium reel with the curado/scorpion 70/71 frame. id buy 5 or so of the JDM version.
get a fuji keeper. i now wish none of my rods came with keepers.
I had the 873 and it was a bit tip heavy. Ive read that it is less tip heavy than the 894 but not sure about the 893. Im sure someone can chime in.
I swapped out the 873 for the FMJ and it is now...
fat ika!
unfortunately i know from multiple experiences that p2geo speaks the truth. They even mail you the rod first which is better than St Croix's plan, also known from experience. You have a new rod in...
they feel like the same body to me. the DC is a bit heavier. very fun reel to use. great for spinnerbaits in the wind.
ive had the best experience with fedex.
havent fished the levante FSS but the XX is a great rod. with the current sale on XX its a no brainer IMO.
both are excellent for t-rig. i agree with Scuba Scott that it depends on your application. both rods are crisp, very well balanced and feel light in hand.
XX Diablo Spec R and the Destroyer Daemos are worth a look. Diablo is a bit slower. The Daemos is great for so many baits - probably anything in its weight range except crankbaits. the 843 NRX might...
