    Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. I went with a piece of 1 1/4 aluminum angle and just rivoted it to the cross piece. It seems to hold real well.

    Only way to fasten it would have to pull carpet and fasten it then recarpet.

    I have been running XD30 on this motor 96 evinrude 115 intruder V4. Where I am at they only have XD 50. Would it be alright to run the XD 50 ?

    When you are re carpeting do you brush weldwood glue on both the carpet and the boat or door or just on one side.
