Maybe it would possibly double as a redfish reel too?

I was looking for a low gear shimano reel that I can use for deep diving cranks like the 8xd and 10xd.

Thanks. I've got a couple spare 7' MH med-fast or fast action rods to choose from.

So a 7' MH med-fast will be good or 7" M med-fast? I was thinking about buying a budget reel (like H20 reel) so I don't get saltwater in bass reels.

BTW, I may take a couple open face reels with me. He said he mainly uses spinning gear. What power/action/length rods do you recommend I take with me? I'll probably take a 5:1 & a 6:4 reel with me.
