Here's the list I last heard.
Tippicanoe, James and Oswego. Also Big Barbee, Little Barbee, Kuhn ,Irish, Sechrist, Banning lakes, and Winona lake.
I haven't fished the Ohio side yet this year. Last Fall the bite at Ruggles was pitiful! The smallie bite there has really went down hill the past few trips.
This year on the Michigan side...

Fished the Lake last Sunday. We pulled in some nice 3 and 4 lb. smallies. Through in some jumbo walleye, one big cat, and plenty of white bass to keep us entertained. Then the afternoon bite shut...

Took 12 1/2 pounds to win a tourney there last weekend. 3 smallies and 2 largmouth made for the winning sack.
Fished Coldwater one week ago, and had a blast. The smallies were up, and largemouth were plentiful. Seemed to hit anything you threw near them. Here's my report if your interested in reading it....
Cold weather pushed them back off the beds. The reports I've been hearing this week is that the bite is extemely tough. Hopefully the bass will move back up this coming week.
The bass are on the beds!!! They won't be up for long. Full moon is this week.
I bought quite a few of them dirt cheap at Gandermountain a few years ago. Had some good success with the lipless crankbaits and small floating jerkbaits. The paint jobs don't hold up real well,...
Back off your drag on your hookset, so it slips a little. That's one option if your not fishing heavy cover.
You may not think your nicking the line, when it actually is. I've been fishing braid...
I like Wawasee too, but it gets to be a circus out there sometimes with the recreational boaters. The Tri-State Lakes are always a good alternative near there if you want peace and quiet. Robinson...

Must have been the warm weather! I had to turn down a trip with a buddy of mine who went to the hot pond Saturday 01-28-06. They caught a nice bag of gills and crappie. I was suppose to join them...
