I personally run Cooper HT plus 285/60/18 on my truck... They're not a 3/4 ton rated tire but I never run my truck at max load... Rancho 9000 adjustable clicker shocks. You could also remove some...
The shift shaft will move up and down a little.. You might have to put some pliers on it and carefully try to move it to get the splines lined up... Make sure to verify proper shifting before putting...
Looks awesome!
Yep ... Just like everyone is saying... 1/2 to 3/4 below the pad and you should be right in the hunt.
I developed a small crack in the epoxy of my Titus lower unit... It's up at the top where the internal water tubes run to the water pump so it's nothing structural. What kind of epoxy would be best...
I want to see what these things are like up north... Lots of small lakes and not a lot of extended higher rpm... It's a pretty bad situation for a big 4 stroke... Has anyone ran into this yet?
I agree with you.... An engine will burn "about" 10 gallons per 100 HP. If they are both running the correct rpm, at wide open throttle, gallons per hour shouldn't change a lot from boat to boat.......
Thanks!
So one pic on the parts diagram shows regular mounts and one doesn't... Is one for the heavy duty mid and one for the standard...... I have the standard mid so would I get the loose mount plate and...
I was thinking of doing the same swap... I have a 2006 225 sport xs and it has a different part number exhaust plate.. I figured it would have the good mounts since it's from the race department but...
Sorry I missed the part where you were starting with an Evinrude... That'll cost more... I'm going merc to merc..Maybe it won't be so bad......?
So about 30 grand for a 300.... Damn, I think I'm out..
Sounds better than I thought! Maybe I'll pop for a 300R even if they don't offer the 1.62..... Just hoping they would do it to give a little "gearing" advantage.
Yes, I do believe it is called an intimidator quad 4 XOB.. I had it built for surfacing with extra tip cup.. I really like the prop, that's why I was hoping it would work... Just wasn't sure if it...
The Quad 4 XOB is the same diameter as the bravo correct? I thought they were both 15".
I have a 21XDC with a 225 SportXS.. Titus cone and 1.62 gears Hydromotive Quad 4 XOB. With the fishing load I have it runs 79 to 81 GPS depending on the day. The prop was originally a 27 that i had...
From what I've read, running as high as they are, they have to run 5 blade props to have enough prop in the water to push the boat..... Again, I don't have one, just reading as much as I can on them...
I'm kind of sitting on my hands for awhile too.. To me, it sounds like it's going to be hard to get to work the way it is.. I'm not trying to bash Mercury or anything, it just seems like the motor...
Have you changed anything since when it used to run good?
Have you changed anything? Check compression. Possibly a bad coil? Has the holeshot suffered? The motor looks like it's as high as it can be mounted and the jackplate is as high as it can go....Hows...
I noticed that also.... I was going to put a 300 powerhead on mine and was looking up different parts. Nobody could tell me the difference either... Not sure if it has an extra water passage to help...
I personally like the atlas hyd. jackplate.... You can raise it for speed and then lower it a little for turning... Also nice for shallow water etc. I often thought about putting the tilt wheel on...
I really don't want to be a negative person about the subject but i do have a question..... The fact the the motor had to be so high on the 103 pass concerns me... Is it because the new lower unit is...
Always nice when "the man" throws his $.02 in..... Thanks Paul!!
