Hey guys....I put drinks and a bag of ice in a rear-side compartment ( next to livewell ) of my 1996 190CX and when the day was over and i pulled the plug to drain that compartment, water started...

Just curious....what would brown water stains around transom bolts indicate ? Mine has stains about 3-4" long on the passenger side at very top corner.

You're right Lea...it is 92" beam. I was going by what the previous owner had told me he thought it was, during our first meeting. And the original Texas title has the boat listed as a 1996 model...

The 31 gallon tank i have is 59 1/2 " wide and 9 1/2" tall....and the compartment is 71" wide on interior. The beam is 84" wide and the boat is listed...

I took a 3 hours trip with 1/2 that time in idle zones...and approx. 120 miles on the 31 gallons my Champ holds....but anything over 4K rpm and i could watch the fuel guage moving !! That Mag III has...

You guys are right on and definatelly understand what was happening with my new Champion...thanks.
After reading some posts it was consistant that the jackplate setting should be 3 1/2" below...

It has a hydraulic jack plate that when it has the motor raised as far up as it will go, the center of hub is 3 1/2" below the lowest point of the hull under the drain plug.
And it gets dangerously...
