100% agree! I have no idea when this process was started but I'd bet it was since January of 2020, but I could be wrong.
The pettiness reminds me of the humans who stumbled upon the pyramids in...
Made in America as well.
I guess these units are smooth water units. Any waves and it's basically useless, as far as imaging. Maybe that's their whole business model to sell Live view stuff.
Moving on....
Getting new Lith batteries and am wondering if there are any aftermarket "posts" that have more than the one bolt or extra spots to hookup wires to. I just can't see more than a couple of wires...
That's how it's setup currently. I'm about to add a distribution block near the batteries so the battery doesn't have 5 wires on the posts.
No and yes.
Garmin set me up with a new transducer that I just got. I had to pay for it but will get refunded when I send one back. I'll probably be checking the TD next week sometime, I'll post...
An actual GAIN adjustment.
More overlay options on everything.
Excellent advice from "1stindoor"!
My initial thoughts for you are 'start on the transition', you cannot do this too early. Start collecting ALL your medical data and getting anything and...
To start, I'm having major issues with my Garmin 126sv & GT56UHD transducer with every down imaging type while NOT moving. It's an 18x60 Excel Stalker w/90hp Merc. It does sway/tilt left to right...
USAF 461/2W0 1991-2011
Traditional "2D", exact same issue. I'm going to mount the transducer dead center on the hull and see if that helps at all.

Current transducer location, FYI.

I understand. In all my years of fishing I just can't believe that's an actual thing on a unit that's this expensive and "smart". I've never seen anything like this on other boats. Maybe I'll...
Depth makes little difference, it's the same in 18ft. of water. It's the boat movement (rocking) that is the cause (I think). I can't imagine a sea vessel using this with the size of the waves out...
If this is true it needs to be plainly stated and easy to understand by anyone wanting these devices! I have seen older units look fine in the same scenario with similar imaging (8 year old units). ...
Issue resolved for me, sort of.
The issue with me was that my 93sv plus had the LakeVug3 (older) maps and my new 126sv ultra has a USCoastal+g3 set of maps (newer). In my case I just removed the...
Possibly a dumb question but... Which battery do you use for your electronics? I have a 12volt setup so 2 12v batteries. Trolling motor battery and starter/motor battery.
Do I hook up my...
Just a note for others: It's WINDOWS ONLY, not supported on Mac's.
Thanks FC! I'm a Louisiana native. Born & raised in south Bossier City, grew up fishing every lake around there including...
I don't believe they support that program anymore. I keep getting the "error page lost" message.
I spoke with a rep about it and she just said it automatically connects when you shut it off and then on again. That's plain dumb programming. I let her know it was dumb, nicely.
As you'll see in the picture I'm getting my current Track extending in a straight line to different locations. The locations are boat ramps and my home. Is there a way to delete these or am I stuck...
Same issue with my brand new ultra 126sv and my older unit 93sv plus (don't believe the 93sv had any software update though).
Setting up the 126sv new at home using the ActiveCaptain app is where...
The kHz doesn't make any difference. What depth would you consider shallow? I'm fairly certain it's only happening while we're fishing with the Minn Kota spot lock holding us.
Perfect! Thank you! My boat doesn't even have a main power switch, so this should be fun. lol. Gathering all I can before I jump in it.
Excellent post, Thank you! My only question now is what gauge wire did you use from the rear block to the fuze panel and also from panel to front block? I was thinking 10 but not sure. My boat is...
