Hopefully it doesn't happen again. I had it out a few days ago and it was normal. If it does happen again, I'll pull the cowling off to see if I can isolate the noise.

Well, I carry it in and it's not making the noise any more. They go over the motor, top to bottom, and everything checks out just fine. Compressor looks good, no metal shavings in anything, belt...
Sorry about being in the wrong forum, can this thread be moved to the correct one?
Thank you, after some research on the compressor, I believe you are correct. I will be calling my dealer today. Luckily, it's still under warranty.
The first two times out that it did it, it was...

The last 3 times I've had my boat out, when I crank it up, it has this loud whining noise. It's gone away after it warms up but comes back after I fish a while. Yesterday,...
I believe McGregor is running the 175 G2 and not the 150.
64" and 102 1/2" on 2017 618
The short bunks are sitting fully on the bunks,
Long bucks have a little on the front that doesn't touch.
Hope this helps

Always check your prop too. After 6 months, mine got loose enough to the point I could wiggle it. Put the torch wrench on it set on 20 lbs and it didn't click so it was bad loose!

I use the same thing except the one from Walmart I got has an extendable handle. Works great.
I'm running the 24 fury at 3.25" ptp. In this summer heat and humidity I'm seeing rpms at 5750 and running 66 mph. On what few cool mornings with low humidity we've had, I've gotten it over 5800...
Mine is every bit of 21' 6 with 175 merc and 10" jackplate
Bought one from wally world when I got the boat. Grew up with my dad always buying junk and learned back then to be prepared for breakdowns
Got mine from you last week and will install this coming Saturday :thumb up2:
Mine does it at times too. I've always thought it was the prop finally grabbing after take off giving a little jerk in the back end.
If you really want to know, call your dealer. If you haven't bugged him about it one call to check won't be a problem. If he can't give you any idea, email Jeff at Phoenix and he should let you know.
Yep, the card was preloaded with everything in the south region. I purged the card and am now downloading only my usual lakes and sections of the river. Hopefully that will help.
Appreciate the...
I have the update on the unit, I put it on there earlier this year.
I have installed the Chart installer on my computer, registered the card and it's picking it up correctly as a Navionics+...
I just purchased and installed a navionics+ regions card in a hook 7 and when running down the river all I get is a white screen. It's like the unit can't keep up with the map. When idleing it does...
I was between 3 1/2 to 3 3/8. Picked up 1-1.5 mph, and around 75 rpms. And lost a little chine. I could drive it fine where it was but now it's even smoother.
Like I said, I've only had it...
I just raised mine to 3 1/4" but I've only had it out one time since. I'm running a mercmonitor so I can get an accurate water pressure and rpm reading and wouldn't have raised it without one cause...
I was thinking the water pickups on the higher hp motors were lower allowing you to bring the motor up higher without losing water pressure...but I could be completely wrong :ohwell:
I'm not at home but if no one gets you an answer I can take some measurements late this afternoon.
Fished in steady down pours with only the passenger rod box getting wet so definitely not the norm.
