Yes, a little bit is enevitable After coming to a stop, I gently pull forward to take up the slack.....on the start-up no banging. Hope that helps.

Pull Bay Ranger 2300 with the cover on. Trip is from San Antonio to Port A at least once a month. Have pulled with the cover off and the boat winds up with road grime and grit.

When we had the house built, had a 20x32 boat shed built off to the side. Hug my Bay Ranger every day and thank God for for the special woman who puts up with both of us.

Had to turn my castle nuts off with a hammer and chisel. Soaked them with PBS blaster the night before, that helped. Trailer (boat is a Bay Ranger) has lots of salt water dunkings.
