The motor actually has a 150 lower unit on it, I guess they did that to some models that year from my research on my moder and serial #s.
The hull is certainly unique, a deep v but not really....
If that fails, I cut my floor out even with the flange for the cap ( guy before me dropped an anchor through it), replaced the foam ( as stated above, top was dry bottom was soaked ) ran strapping...

Update fellas, so here's the finished product, for now. O e thing I've learned, I suck at carpet. The lids came out amazing, but the flats just are not perfect at the cuts. I mean it...
Just finished my 86 Bass nautique soup to nuts. Two reasons I put the effort in:
Its a rare bugger, so I'm not gonna lie, I love it when people ask about it
I made the boat my own, while I had...
I'm not hung up on them good sir, its what the factory states is the proper plug. Not what you are recommending. Perhaps they do work, but the factory wants the gapless plugs i have in it for a...
Right with the plugs, thats why I looked up the proper plugs, my brother in law actually pointed that out. He directed me to the factory plug pages showing g a gapless inductive plug. So we're good...
Again, those are what was in it. The ngks i put in are cross referenced from the above plug. So from what I learned, these gapless plugs are correct except they are not champions. Thats from multiple...

From multiple sites this is what they said is the factory plug for that motor
Pretty sure this motor calls for gapless because of the ignition system, but ill swap back and try yours. I guess he did have the right plugs in. I did have L77JC4 in it when I read an article...
Factory plugs call for champion ul77v gapless preset to .030, replaced with NGK BUHX. Pretty sure plugs were part of the problem, don't remember what he had but they were certainly wrong, especially...
It is probably clogged up badly, definately got oem rebuilds for the carbs. Can't even get to WOT. Runs pisser with the muffs bit once you get it under load, no dice. Probably gonna rebuild the fuel...
It has a cdi system therefore requiring a inductive plug, at least thats what I'm getting from online. She only needs about 40 ohms, not 4000. Guy before me had wrong plugs in, probably why I had to...
So, I know this has been covered, and a lot of the time it seems as though this is an unfixable problem, but before I do a full carb rebuild, which i plan on doing anyway, i have a question.
The...
Build parks and playgrounds for municipalities
This is the worst of it
Thanks bud, unfortunately another roll of carpet is not in the budget. Its not as bad as I'm making it out to be, it was just enough to stain the carpet, no globs. I found that goo gone did a pretty...
So during carpet install this morning a gust of wind grabbed my carpet and flipped it fiber side down into the henry663. Needless to say this was bad. I tried to clean it as best I could with soapy...
I figured a filler and then fiberglass it to be uniform was the best option. I want it to look good, already spent a lot of time and at least 5 gallons of resin and untold sq ft of mat to repair...
So as you can see in the pictures, the bow of my boat has this odd profile. If I try to fit the base in the profile ot does not have solid contact to fiberglass all around. If I move it back I have I...
So I've found many schematics on where these wires "may" go, but I'd like clarification from you well informed fellas. What is the white wire with blue cap and grey plug supposed to go?
Yeah all my years on the water I've never heard of or seen a bass nautique. I bought it off a kid who had it at Johnsons pond. That means there's another one festering somewhere in RI? I'd love to...
Afternoon fellas, new member here and sure wish I found d these forums a while ago. Bought a 1986 bass nautique last July for $1500, trailer included, with a running 1984 johnson 140 v4. It had been...
