Which of the Triza casting rods is the most versatile for reaction baits? I’m headed out to Chickamauga next weekend and trying to avoid dragging a rod tube out there. Looks like it will primarily be...
It’s primarily for throwing Megabass Big M 7.5’s at Baccarac next week. The IMX handles them just fine but I’m assuming the Launcher was designed for that specific purpose.
Has anyone fished these rods side by side? If so, thoughts on which is the better deep crank stick? I own the IMX and love it, but keep hearing good things about the Launcher.
Really appreciate the feedback, fellas. Pretty much what I expected to hear, but was hoping the reviews would be stellar so nce my good friend is Dobyns pro staff and gets rods at a massive discount.
How does this line compare to the other high-end jig & worm options out there (Conquest; NRX+; MB X-Bites; new Steez AGS; etc.)?
Zillion HD is perfect for this application.
Love the Expride 7’2” MH glass for this application. As a bonus, it’s also a fantastic chatterbait rod.
You’d have to go with a lower-end reel to keep near your budget but I love throwing jerkbaits on my MB P5 Windbuster. It can handle 110 size baits no problem but is also great for more finesse type...
Not the application I originally intended to use it for, but I love throwing Kicknockers (both sizes) and SHower Blo’s (125 &105) on my MB Mad Bull. A tad spendy for a topwater stick but the action...
For a spinning rod, I’d start with a Megabass P5 Destroyer Wind Buster. It’s super versatile, wicked sensitive, and just overall fun to fish. It’s great for everything from dropshot, weightless...
Looking for a shorter topwater rod for my 9-year old can use for walking baits and pop r’s. I’ve been having him use my OneTen Special but it’s a bit too long for him to properly work the baits. Any...
I have 10 MB rods at this point and if I was to put together a starter kit it would look like this:
• Tequila Baccarac - Deep cranks; big topwater; glide baits; heavy jigs/t-rigs/Carolina rigs
•...
How many rods in said lineup?
Have a Steez A on mine and it’s nails.
Bought a Conquest 904c about six weeks ago and it has quickly become my favorite rod to have in hand, leapfrogging all of my MegaBass sticks. Enjoy fishing it so much that I plan to buy a 903c, and...
I just spent 3.5 days at Baccarac and threw my Mad Bull quite a bit. At various times I had each of the following tied on: 3/4oz spinnerbait w/ trailer; 3/4oz jackhammer w/ trailer; LV500; 110 LBO...
Going with the Conquest but doesn’t look like anyone has them in stock.
Awesome. Thanks for all the feedback!
The reason he likes the Conquest is because it’s 7’6”, so it casts a mile and is plenty stout to pull 8+lb fish out of trees, which are everywhere at Baccarac. I’ve got a Tequila Baccarac which I...
Heading to Lake Baccarac and a buddy swears this is the stick I need for 5.8” Keitechs on an underspin. What other applications does this rod excel at? Just want to make sure it won’t be a one-trick...
100% concur on the Conquest 904. I don’t love fishing a jig but that rod feels so great in my hand that it may eventually convert me.
Can anyone share some insight as to which applications this rod does well? Headed to to Mexico next month to fish Lake Baccarat for the first time and we are limited to 40 lbs total luggage weight....
I’ve got a Steez A on mine and it’s perfect. Had a Zillion HD on there before that and it worked just fine, but I definitely prefer the feel with the Steez.
MegaBass P5 Destroyer Dark Sleeper is as good as it gets. Also great for light TX rigs and bottom contact swimbaits.
