What means do you use to secure them when tilted in down position?

Has any Talon owner installed the jackplate mounting brackets utilizing the top hole vs. slot of the bracket? Only way I know to raise them higher.

Might just focus on a batteries CCA vs. case size (for starting battery), should be in your owners manual. Some 27 series batteries offer higher CCA/MCA than a 29 or 31 series.
