You guys are the bomb.com!!!!
Here's the remote that came with my ulterra. I've used it over 30 times this season without a problem with the battery. http://www.nextwarehouse.com/item/?1371336_g10e
Here's what I did on my 175TXW with a HDS9. You could add a steel/wood block under the plastic to reinforce the mount, that's what I did and haven't had any problems.

I agree with you guys. The good thing about the 45" shaft (if mounted properly) is that the motor head will stick out just past the bow and the spindle head will stick out just past the...
Call tracker directly and they will send you pdfs of all the wiring schematics.
I agree, I thought 49mph gps for a 175TXW with a 75HP was way too fast. What do you think about the motor mounting position?
Also, motor is moved to the third hole down.
Been online reading different prop. top ends on a 175TXW. Some guys are claiming 49mph on the gps with a Vengeance 48-16988 18P on a 75HP Mercury 4 stroke.
What do you guys think????
I had to lower mine to A-70 in order to remove the screen clutter. I'm not sure this setting is too low to pick up anything else. I did verify that there wasn't cavitation around the transducer.
I went with the balzout mount and I can say that I couldn't be happier.
Quality and performance all the way. Makes me wonder why I ever used a ram mount.

I've haven't played with the sensitivity much so I'll check it and update accordingly. Here's a pic of my graph in the mean time.
Have any of you guys figured this out? I just installed a 3D unit on my 175TXW and I'm having the same problem.
For the 75hp, I thought the max RPM recommended was 5000? Are you running at 5310-400 = 4910?
You're the man thanks!!!!
Do you have any metrics on the new speed vs old speed?
I'm looking for suggestions on a prop for a Mercury 75 HP four stroke. This motor is on a 2016 Tracker 175TXW.
I don't use talons/poles on my 175TXW. I use the 1" fiberglass rods and they work great.
I was thinking of the Atlas plates that are around 50+ pounds. I guess you'd have to try it out, but I would suspect you would not get much out of a 25 hp motor. That's a large boat for that small...
Here's my 175TXW it has an Ulterra installed in place of the Edge. The cover barely fits. You can see how the rear left corner is off.
I don't think the benefits of a jack plate would out weigh the performance losses, due to increased weight. Just my opinion.

I'd go with Balzout, hands down. Just got one mounted on the helm and I have to say, it's amazing.

Yes, it tightens easily the knobs are about 1" in diameter so you can really tighten them down and it holds tight. It also has a ball bearing system built into each of the joints so that you get a...
Well I went with the 6" balzout mount and I have to say I couldn't be happier.
