If the OP is still willing to share I’d be really interested in the results as well.
I have the original dash plate for my 2020 X19 I could send if there’s still a need for it. I rigged mine up with a bass boat technologies mount and the original plate was never used.
The Bass live guys and others joke about how bad Hackney sandbags on basstrak.
I have one of the older solid grey versions that I throw a-rigs on and it works pretty well. Never really fished a glide bait but I bet it would work well.
Thank you for the time and detail. Interested in hearing the results.
My x19 came with a 52” Ultrex and I found it to be too long. I have a 50” Garmin Force (equivalent to a 45” Ultrex) and it works well for me. I’m not familiar with the Ulterra but I’d assume 45”...
Interested here too.
He’ll need an interface cable and a NMEA 2000 network (if he doesn’t already have one.) Brand doesn’t matter for NMEA 2000.
I have this Lowrance interface cable:...
They’re doing 10% off for Black Friday.
Should be fine unless you’re in big water/big waves a lot.
My X19 came with a 52” Ultrex from the factory. When it was stowed it got in the way of opening the rod locker lid and when deployed it...
Don’t want to hijack this thread but would be interested in hearing about the 80 and sv70 when you’ve had some time with them.
Can’t add much to this; my experience as well.
I’d post in the Garmin forum and/or PM Todd Driscoll if you haven’t already.
I live in that $100-$150 range and mostly use Ark (Invoker Pro, Tharp) and Daiwa (Tatula) rods.
Vixen; but there are several others that I like throwing. Love catching them topwater.
This is a great rod for the money and I think Ark uses the same (or similar) blank in some of their other product lines.
One thing to consider is networking if you want to add units down the line. Echomaps and GPSmaps aren’t on speaking terms.
The obvious difference is 1” in screen size but the 106sv also has better screen resolution and a more powerful (noticeably faster) processor. As already stated, both units use the same transducers...
Ark makes a good looking one and it’s on sale at tackle warehouse. I haven’t used it but have several other Ark rods that I would recommend; good rods for the money.

Networked units will share premium mapping on cards but I don’t think they’ll share built-in “stock” maps. I have a 106sv at console with lakevu ultra maps and a 102sv at the bow. The 102sv reads the...
I get the same message but haven’t noticed any problems with mapping so I’ve just been ignoring it. I’d be interested if you can confirm the fix.
Todd will be around with the correct answer but seems that Navionics + is supplanting lakevu ultra as the premium mapping option moving forward. Lakevu ultra will hang around for the older graphs...
I’d like to know about lake offset as well. That’s what sold me on the Ultra map.
I’ve done it and the image is pretty good but, like mentioned, it’s 2d only. You just need an adapter cable. I have one I don’t use anymore somewhere.
