I put a level on the pad and leveled the boat, then I put the level on the cavitation plate and leveled the motor, all on a level concrete floor, then measure the distance to the center of the prop...
I do have a skimmer located just to the right of the keel on the last pad, half of the skimmer is below the line of the pad...hmmm. I have not checked for a hook in the pad.
I'm going to check this as well, the motor was a used unit taken off another boat....so you never know.
So a little update: Ran the boat yesterday, with the crazy idea to run the jackplate all the way down just to see what happened and guess what....ran the 24 Raker at 5" below the pad, it turned 5900...
