Anyone having issues downloading the software from the Lowrance website, can try pulling it directly from the ftp server using the following link.

If you're still looking for it, the 4.0 software can be located at the following link. Not sure about being able to use the Gen 2 head unit to downgrade the 3D module.

Not real sure what taps you're speaking of, but here's a photo of my old Maxxum 70 which I believe has the same setup as the 74.

If you have a touch unit on the bow or can borrow one from a buddy, temporarily move it to the console and test it.
It's highly unlikely that calibrating the Point-1 will resolve the issue you're describing. If you have confirmed that the Point-1 is being used for your heading, then I would suggest that you go...
That's not how mine behaves. At the most, mine may rotate 3/4 of a turn one way or the other but that's about it.
Sounds like the issue is with the bow unit. The console sees the Point-1 but not the bow. The bow doesn't see the console or the point-1. Some things that I would try are; Check the diagnostics...
What class III hitch do you have? My daughter has a GX and I want to get her one installed for a birthday present. All she would use it for is a bike rack so not much weight involved. I would like...
The P/N 000-13313-001 includes XID support whereas the 000-12572-001 doesn't. Either one should work with the XI5.
R2Tacker, you may be right. It didn't register when he stated a 6 pin connector from the Xi5. The Xi5 transducer cable has a blue connector and the NMEA cable has a black connector as shown in your...
The transducer model is normally located on a silver sticker on the cable about a foot from the plug.

It's likely that the red wire is the brake/turn signal, the black is the running lights and the white is ground. Look at the trailer plug and see if that's not how its wired.Typical trailer wiring...
Yep, black to black should do the trick. Look at the light on the other side of the trailer as its likely wired the same.

You may also want to check the network diagnostics page on each unit and see if it gives a clue as to what may be happening. Settings>Network>Diagnostics>NMEA 2000. What does the bus state indicate,...
Cant tell for sure from the photo, is that a 53.1.94 or a 58.1.94? 58.1.94 was a 3.0 load. If the naming convention holds true, 53.1.94 would be even an earlier version. I would definitely upgrade to...

Under your navigation settings what is the Arrival Radius option set to?
I have the older Aqua-View system and have connected it to an HDS Gen2-9. As long as it has an RCA video output, it will connect to the Lowrance Touch units utilizing the cable jagsaw pointed out.The...
Congratulations. Nice looking bird. Those are some great memories for both of you made right there:thumb up2:
It could be that the motor is pulling more amps with the extra load from the grass which is exposing the weak plug connection. It could also be due to different props between the two motors.
You've received the answer to your question, but just for reference purposes you can see the differences between what the NMEA and Ethernet networks do on post #19 of the following thread.
