Awesome. Thanks for the info.
Morning guys. Any of y’all running Garmin for GPS/mapping through the marsh. Specifically we have a Garmin 7612 xsv that I’m looking to upgrade the maps. I looked up Standard Mapping, but it shows...
We faired pretty well in St. Amant. I have some concrete siding that blew off the gable on the west side of my house, but otherwise no damage. Me, my nlaws, and family all have trees downs, so we’ve...
Agreed. We went to clean up at our camp across Lake DeCade yesterday, and I didn’t see any, or smell any dead fish. Hurricane Barry last year hit us harder than Laura
Somebody had to catch some big ones this past weekend...
I went yesterday, and launched out of Falgout. Dirty water most places, but I managed to find a few. No size to anything, but I took my 7 year old son, so that made it worth it.
Great news for a follow up! I cleaned the block and heads and replaced the water diverters yesterday. By the way removing the water diverters was a major PIA. Test run on the trailer in my driveway...
Thanks again. I’ll take y’alls advice. Hopefully I’ll have the parts by this weekend and I’ll report back after I repair and test run.
I first noticed water when I pulled a spark plug. I pulled the heads to further inspect and if nothing looked obviously wrong I’m gonna replace the gaskets and reinstall the heads.
Thanks for all the advice. I’ve attached some pictures for clarification.

No. They would be the top cylinder on the Port side and the bottom cylinder on the starboard side.
I’ve been having trouble with my engine for some time now(E175STLCEB). The engine will start and idle, but as soon as I try to take off it will bog down and die. Well Saturday morning I installed new...
Y’all catch any fish?
Awesome song and thanks for sharing. It really paints a picture for me living in South Louisiana.
Damn...looks like I need to follow Chauvin around to catch some fish like that.
I don’t tournament fish, so I don’t have a dog in the hunt, but anybody that fishes the Bayou Black area is pretty much on “private land/water”. I don’t have a map in front of me right now, but I’ve...
Any of y’all run the Standard Mapping LA One Chip on a Hook 7?
When my tach wasn’t working my voltage regulator had went out. Might want to test that.
Yesir, that’s the plan. I also want to replace the jets and bowls, but those items don’t come with the kit. I found the bowls/float chambers, but does anyone know the PN’s for the jets/orifices?
I have a 1989 175 XP, Model# E175STLCEB SN 08215865. I want to rebuild the carburetors, but I’m not sure of which kits to order. Is Kit #439079 correct?
Redfish this year have been thick. I’d hire a guide too if only here for a few days. Most of the areas that hold redfish can get shallow really quick and can put you on a sandbar or in the mud.
Nice trip. After you eat that flounder you’ll throw away the reds!
The way I understand it, the Atchafalaya Basin gets 30% of the Mississippi Rivers’s flow. It’s diverted at Old River I believe. When the Mississippi is up, then the Basin is up...when the Mississippi...
Didnt mean to ruffle your feathers...I’m just calling it how I see it.
