Just rig top ones 1/8 oz and bottom ones heavier.
Or you could use a plain swimbait hook / bare jig hook for the top ones.
Good suggestions both. I bet Yum balanced these with teasers on the top...

You read my mind! Could not have said it better.
So in North Carolina we can run 5 hooks on an umbrella rig so I run all 5 when I have fished the Flash Mob Jr. I usually run the same weight jig head on all 5 positions. I have experimented with a...
I have fished the Yum Flash Mob Jr many times so not just one rig but many. They all are upside down at the end of my retrieve when they reach the boat no matter how I adjust the wires or the...
I hate to hear what has happened to you on this boat... I really do.
Time to get a lawyer it sounds like. You may have more options than are being offered to you by the dealer and Ranger. But you...
... and that strategy will put less wear on the motor as well. Better to run a 150hp at 4500-5000rpm as opposed to a 115hp at 6300rpm.
1) confusing do you mean "haul" or "hull"?
2) On the aluminum hulls, internal welds at braces can fail and cause cracks, openings in the hull's exterior and leak. While it is not the norm, it can...
Brandon, do you run a hot foot? Hot foot or hand throttle, you may want to confirm you are getting 100% open throttle position if you have not already. Just a thought.
Brandon, my 2021 Merc 150 4S also will hit single-digit water pressure values in the 3.5"-4" PTP in certain water conditions so my experience mirrors yours. I run it on a 6" manual plate and only get...
Haha hull material makes absolutely no difference at all. Our boats are reasonably similar in my experience... exact same dry hull weight, both are pad hulls, both run max HP 150, both hit similar...
... also how old is the water pump impeller?
You might find your best PTP does not need to be as high as 3". Many boats like yours run great at 3.5"-4.25" PTP. Mine does.
My personal experience with my Epoch TM batts has been very good. For quality plus price, Epoch is hard to beat.
Yep thanks Don for all your help to me and everyone here on your forum!
I run a commercial batt from Interstate I think it is made by Clarios. I have a Merc 1504S, two Carbons and it is a great batt for my setup. I recommend and would/will buy it again.
Got it. So mine bracket cavity is full then no worries. Thanks.

I had added a comment on an older thread on this exact topic on this forum, got a reply, then my comment was deleted. So I will start a new...
The SSR hubs for 1" shafts. The Mercury and Quicksilver versions are the exact same. Seems they are now priced exactly the same too where as you used to be able to buy the Quicksilver version a...
Yep I think you are spot on and that's what I intend to do
I'm using Starbrite Marine Silicone Sealant, same as the dealer used when they installed with no leaks, same as jackplate manufacturer Vance recommends. It is rated for below the waterline use same...
Bill, thanks for checking in. What make/model jackplate did you install?
Yep, like a dummy I let the bolts spin when checking torque. Live and learn.
Pretty certain water is coming in at the mounting bolts. I had zero water leak until I tried to check torque on the mounting bolts and obviously disturbed the existing watertight seal. Like I shared,...
I prefer the slot to not be there either. I am starting to dislike it.
I guess my problem and this discussion begs the questions:
- Shouldn't a proper sealant application on the inside of the transom bolts be enough to keep water from leaking into the bilge without...
In tried filling the slot but when replacing the bolts one at a time without removing the plate completely and because of the tight space inside the plate and limited visibility, I found that hard to...
