Ibuilt three of those when they came out. Fantastic rods. They are thick rods. I had to use 17mm reel seats IIRC.

So how does it run? I gotsta know
5min epoxy.
Pull the tip off and see if it fits first. It might.
I added a CPC connector on mine so I only have two connections to make and don't have to leave the charger in the boat.
Pictures??? Come on now.
Last TM I had to swap I made nut plates so that I only had to start the close one and the rest just fall into place. Worked pretty well.
Titanium Alconites are a better value than sic in my opinion.
I looked up the reviews for that blank and they said it was overrated power wise. With all the good blanks at the $100 price point it's hard to spend double that on a blank.
I don't know what components Phoenix uses, but I do know that once a rod gets to that price, a custom builder is more likely to be able to build one cheaper than factory and you can get exactly what...
Man that looks good.
i feel ya man. Mine wasn't gonna be that big a deal since my buddies bullet was at the house but the next weekend it dropped a cylinder. So I didn't fish for 7 weeks or something.
Ah thanks. Our club (Cargo) and the NASA club is fishing Smith tomorrow out of Smith Lake Park. Didn't know if you were referring to one of them. Good luck!
Which Tournament at Smith?
I shipped my injectors to Integrity back in September thinking it would be a couple week turnaround. Took about two months. However, they were upfront with how long it was gonna take and I got them...

Any decent blank you get with decent components- if you can build well- will be better than any off the shelf $100-$150 rod.
I've wanted a 17 for a long time and maybe one day I'll get one to play with. The only thing now is any clean ones are highhhh and most of them need too much work to justify. Oh well.
Got a picture? Try wrapping some Teflon tape around the threads.
That's neat. Do you skin your own carbon grips?
Here are a couple I just finished.

Rod finish epoxy is not really an adhesive epoxy at all. It's a finish. You'll need something like Flexcote hi build or similar to finish it. If you don't wanna get into rodbuilding, it might be...
Thanks, that's good to know. I'll be ordering one soon.
