True...even with the Fortrex had to be careful placing rods down on that side because of the stabilizer. Unless fishing a tournament I usually only carry 2 rods on that side.

Answered in other post but shouldn't be a problem with the rod locker.
We used a piece of marine grade 2x4 to raise the toe end and it was not uncomfortable at that angle. If you stand all the time (no butt seat) in front then I could understand someone wanting it...
