I'm looking to mount LED strip lights inside the PP so that the light shines through the holes and when deployed. Do I need to get the IP68 rated lights, or would IP67 be fine?
I've had my 93 knocked off when a wave came over the bow. Luckily, it landed in the cockpit beside me. I always make sure they're locked in. I've noticed cradle of my UHD unit covers more of the...
Where? front or helm???
You probably can't see your lure because of scaling. You're zoomed out too far to see your lure.
Since I already have a cat, the next on my list would be Skeeter, then Pheonix.
I used my LS for the first time yesterday and tried calibrating the compass. When the calibration was finished it gave me stats saying the magnetic whatchamacallit was 89%. I've noticed that the...
I'm kind of in the same situation. I have 2 chirp 9xvs sharing data through NMEA 0183 (blue & brown wires) With the new generation of Echomaps, the 9x units do not share data thru 0183. However,...
The 6M cable ($45) is less expensive than getting another 2M ($30) and the coupling adapter ($20). It's a better connection, ta boot!
I have the same transducer epoxied in the bilge of my glass boat. Works AWESOME!!!
How is everyone setting up there trolling motor with Livescope? Are 2D / Downvu / Sidevu even needed anymore?
I'm thinking 2D might be needed. Thoughts?
Does Garmin have a palette for side vu and clear vu that highlights changes in bottom consistency? Lowrance and HB have these palettes, but does Garmin have anything compatible? I have a Chirp...
Oh, I see. The black box is only a signal conversion box with networking capability. If the plotter can already interpret the signal, all I need is the network expander.
How is this done?
Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I see pros with 4 to 5 chartplotters on their boats, but are all of them networked together? The black boxes only have 3 ports. So are the black boxes...
Just got my Livescope transducer. Looks like they included mounting brackets for both shaft mount and motor mount. What are the advantages/disadvantages for either locations?
This^^^ Make sure you get every bit of solid stuff out, i.e., scales, dirt, etc.
On the LED strips I have, if take the paper backing off the adhesive, you could clearly see the copper conductors. What I'd imagine I'd have to do is cut through the adhesive to get to bare copper. ...
Has anyone tried soldering the wires from the underside of the LED strips? If this is possible, it would make for a neat install.
You may want to take your bearings apart and look for part numbers. It could be anything. Need more info.
I changed the switch back to the old, proven, switch and the fuse hasn't blown yet after testing it out (switching both the master and light switch). I'm going to leave it for a couple outings and...
It is an illuminated switch.
Beginning to think the new switch I got from eBay may be the culprit.
I have an issue were the 5A fuse for my deck lights keeps blowing out. I added 2 small LED lights (2” each) to the set up. One thing I’ve noticed the switch is rigged up with about 2 feet of 22awg...

No seat 99% of the time. If it's choppy enough I'll put it in and just lean on it if I need to.
Before I go ahead and drill a hole in my gunnels, is there anyone here who has only one pair of LED bolt lights for their deck? Are they OK, or do you hate them?
I can only do one pair...
