That would probably work, but where is your graph, you need to think about Ethernet cables, could get expensive. Could be better to run heavy gauge wire to the front and put your black box there....

Lots of people have, but why not make your own. All you need is a computer and an 8gb SD card. The files are on Garmins website and a bbc thread with all the updates.

To get mine to work I put the zip file on my SD card and unzipped it there. All that was left was the Garmin folder.
Just copy and paste the Garmin folder to your SD card.
Comes with instructions, I'm sure you could figure out a way to use it with other knots.
It's not listed as a compatible device for the lvs34.
