My original 1992 Ranger Trailer for my 354V is pretty much end of life at this point, the St. Johns river has not been kind to it. Can anyone recommend a decent single axle replacement for it that...
I used a similar product called Durabak-18 on my '92 354V. It's held up pretty well over the past year with about 40 trips out fishing. Cleans up pretty easily and like this stuff, does not get very...
This sounds like a failing VRO pump. Mine did exactly what yours is doing, I deleted the VRO all together and replaced the pump with a setup that uses stacked fuel pumps and I premix now. It starts...
I’ve got a ‘92 354V which is the single console version of this boat with the 150 Fast Strike. If you don’t have to have all of the latest and greatest gadgets they are great utility boats and well...
Yeah I checked the cable it was all worn off so on the safe side I went with 12ft. About a foot too long but all worked out, they were in dire need of replacement and I'm back on the water!
Without having to take out the old cables, anyone know the proper throttle cable length for a '92 354V with a 150 Fast Strike?
Ok then, I'm in the ballpark then. Thanks!
Looking to replace the 30yr trailer on my '91 354V and found a nice Ranger Trail from a '13 model locally that should fit. What are these going for these days? Looks to have new tires, hubs,...
Yes indeed. Those stop it quick.
I just went through this exact same problem on my '91 Fast Strike 150. It would not stay running unless you pumped the ball. To fix it, I replaced the old VRO pump with the stacked pumps like shown...
I used Durabak-18 on my Ranger and it has held up pretty good going on a year now. It does not get hot in the sun which is great. Use a darker color to make it look cleaner.
Not Sea Dek, I chose a much cheaper option. It is a paint on surface and called Durabak 18. It's been on there for about a year now and has held up pretty good over 30 or so fishing outings. I chose...
This area is notoriously bad for getting stuck, tide goes out very fast. If I'd have hit this trough 15min earlier I'd have made it into the channel
Thanks, boat stuck around 945AM, picked it up at 430PM. Got on another boat to fish the rest of the day, absolutely killed the spec trout.
This was me yesterday. Tried to get on those sweet redfish on the flats... how do tides work again? Thought you all may get a kick out of this.

That's actually in very good shape for its age
I use an 8ft Stick It here in N. FL and it works very well on my 18ft Ranger in the St. Johns River.
Yep in most of these older 3 series you'll be cutting into a front compartment or a livewell. It's not a big deal if you go slow and use a fiberglass tray. Turned out really nice on my 354V. I did...
I could see maybe using it on the paint on the trailer, but definitely not on the gelcoat. Much better stuff for that.
The durabak does not get hot at all. I fish it here in 100 deg FL and its fine.
It definitely helps to prime it, no matter what you use.
3 quarts, shouldve bought a gallon
Look a few posts down at my 92 354v. I used Durabak 18 with good results. Taken it out about 15 times since I paintedit on and I like it so far.
This project is coming along well and is really teaching me a lot. I did the install of the recessed foot pedal tray Friday afternoon and that was interesting. It was not at all like the videos on...
It's actually "light grey." Looks white in the photos...
My dad's convinced me I can't have a pretty boat on an ugly trailer so now I'll be shining it up too. Tested one of the fenders and sure...
