yes sir must have batt voltage to run ,never disconnect batt with it running
we have seen some yes especially on boats that set for extended periods of time

pull the reed plate check it out the tiniest speck can cause reed stuck open
sure could be i hate um , unlikely PCM is your culprit , be sure you look at the connector for the main power relay for burned or melting connections

absolutely, positively sure can.... most of the time its #6 unlikely #2 i would look more towards that cyl being lean from inj problems do a search on here "cold seize" youll find plenty of info
unlikely its a plug wire check they compression then borescope cyl and verify sleeve position is correct
