Depth is 12.7m or 40feet, the CV52 sees the tree which is pretty far on the left (cast shadow) with both beams. DI is very strong and distinct due to propper settings...
It is just a matter of set sensitivity (gain/contrast....) to get the same strength of DI images on all those units including CV CHIRP. Dedicated Down element do not use full capacity for all depths...
There is no GAP under the boat - there is an overlap of left and right beam, and it was proved by Leonard for very deep water 87ft where both beams see the same tree which is directly under the boat...
It matters because we are discussing technical part of image comparison, but not a wrong Garmin or Lowrance marketing. You are telling that Lowrance made more precise side by side comparison than...
A couple of inches....LOL  It could be no gap at all, or 3-5 feet between the transducers it would not change anything in their comparison because they did not use them simultaneously. This...
CV52 image is correct - there is nothing on the left. Ti is adding DI returns to both SI sides showing the same objects at both SI side views, mixing them under the boat, which are actually at one...
Actually this is Lowrance who lies about the CV transducers saying that there is a GAP directly under the boat, but there is no empty space just a left and right beams overlap, and CV does not miss...
Looks like this is the only way to see how DI returns effect the SI views, and it would be really interesting.
Excellent DI view - sensitivity setting is just ideal on it  How did you do this? Manually? As far as I know automatic sensitivity provides lower DI sensitivity comparing with the same SI...
Lowrance overlaid DI shadows do effect the SI shadows ( not Striker 7 GT52 and CV52):

Yes, this is a right SI side from HDS-12 unit
http://www.bbcboards.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=292578&stc=1 :
Do you see any shadows on DI view which are on SI views? No? But they "should...
Sriker 7sv works great at 455kHz - there is no any singes of any ghost lines on SI views, and CV DI is good at 26ft at least, bottom is bright and nothing is missed. I am sure Striker CV DI will be...
Are you kidding? Dedicated DI almost never shows shadows on it's DI view on leveled bottom (no slope), because that shadow on one DI beam side will be covered with brighter reflections of...
It does not work with Lowrance units at all - they always have Null/ghost lines at any frequencies, and always get SI and DI overlays (cross-talks).
You are talking about your Garmin GT51 which works the same way as HDS - pining at the same time, having ghost lines at both 455 and 800kHz, having SI and DI beams overlays and semitransparent ...
Striker 7sv always has Null/ghost lines at 800kHz, and never has them at 455kHz, but Lowrance always has them at both frequencies. Striker 7sv does not have waffler ghost lines at any frequencies,...
These are definitely Null/ghost lines. Striker 7 always has them with GT52 and CV52 at 800kHz (not at 455kHz), and Lowrance always has them at 800 and 455kHz.
This is not ghosting - this is just a double bottom reflection at doubled depth because of high sensitivity.
Exelent DI at 32ft :) It would be great to see CV52 Striker screen shots at 455kHz at deeper water.
Agree :) By the way CV52 on Striker 7 does not pinging at the same time as well, and have no any signes of overlay and ghost lines, shadows are sharp...
Yes, with Garmin GT51 - it behave exactly as Lowrance units with the same DI overlay, the same Null/ghost and waffler ghost lines at 455 and 800kHz , but GT52 on Striker 7sv has non of them at...
Actually, normally there should be completely dark shadow on the right SI view, but on Lowrance units this is a left side reflection which came to the right side view via DI beam- double overlay...
Humminbird and Garmin (GT52) have them at 800kHz only, but Lowrance always have them at both 800kHz and 455kHz

Thank you for info :) I did not know that pining timing can be adjusted by users, may be this is why on some Gt52 units waffle effect is almost always seen, but on others units it is not seen even at...
