Try calibrating the heading sensor for TargetLock again.
thanks from me too!
Thanks.
Terrova TM works fine. Would like to add Target Lock and mount it and m360 on the Terrova. This isn't feasible with current Terrova mount. I'm wondering if there is a way to mount the Terrova motor...
Could this work?
Sorry - I will ask this question on Trolling Motor section.
I haven't used landscape mode, but I was re-reading the manual today and noticed this "In Landscape Mode, use higher angles (top marking) for shallow water andlower angles (bottom marking) for deeper...
Read the 2nd sentence in that graphic again. There are no marks on the transducer, but each click is 10 degrees.
That's the image I get on my Solix when I have "water column sensitivity" ON in shallow water.
To fix image in shallow water, turn Dynamic Contrast off.
The only time we have had trouble with maps is when the battery was going bad (it wouldn't hold a charge). So I would investigate power...
Just curious - are you using a heading sensor?
Have you set your "Installation Depth"? Someone on facebook said that solved his "freezing" problem.
I have had 2 Solix G2s for 18 months. They are networked and have never "locked up".
This is before mLive. I don't remember looking at 2d then. I didn't ask what unit you are running. Ours are Solix. The water column setting is -3 in this picture. I couldn't find the picture I made...
There is a setting for auto water column sensitivity. Turn it off when in shallow water. This isn't related to mLive.
Wayne, I was referring to the data box depth as the question was about the "-----" instead of a depth reading. (See page 26 of manual) Certainly, mLive knows depth without this since it is showing...
Neither m360 or mLive give depth. That has to come from another source. So he must not have those 2 units on the network.
Do Helix have a setting to turn on waypoint sharing?
I am using Persistance on Mega Live. It leaves a trail of the moving fish. Makes it easier to distinguish fish from structure. It's amazing how much the fish move around!
From mega live manual:
APEX/SOLIX Series HELIX Series1. Press the HOME key.2. Select the Record tool.3. Under Record Sonar, set up the sonar recording:Select Recording Sources, and select the beams...
Export your waypoints. Use Simulator to play with MegaLive. When you are finished playing, import your waypoints back into the unit.
What Bob says is true. But each Solix has all the waypoints so you can export from one. This is unlike Helix where you would need to export waypoints from each unit.
Note that the transducer can be installed either up or down. That determines the "down" or "forward" view. Then when in landscape mode, you can turn the transducer for the angle settings. 0 is...
I don't know about this - haven't gotten ours mounted and on the water yet. But I am curious - do you have your landscape installation set to "down" or "forward"?
If you happened to read Steve's previous posts, he has said that he doesn't want bottom and has adjusted his settings to get what he wants. He is trolling for striper schools.
