There are a lot of great mounts out there. However, you cant go wrong with Precision Sonar mounts. Very well built!
You might want to check up under the dash behind your graph(s).
+1 on trimmer string. A small hand pump oil can (old school) filled with water works well too. Especially if the "mud daubers" have it packed in there. It allows you quirt some water up there to...

You should be fine. Switched my FX20 to all lithium's last year and wouldn't look back! I know of a few others that have done the same without any issues at all.

I stopped at my first one two weeks ago....The one mentioned in Richmond, KY. Wow! What a place. The only thing I wish they had was a squeegee to clean off your windshield.
