Is water intrusion the only issue? If so, that's a fairly easy fix. I did mine last summer, and it took maybe an hour. I found some videos on Youtube that show the process.

Same seal. Did mine a couple of months ago. I've put a couple hundred miles on it since then, and all is well.

There's probably a circuit breaker somewhere near the starting battery. Maybe you accidentally tripped it while replacing the battery. That would kill all of the accessories.
