Yes, 2D sets the depth range for Down Imaging.

A 1197 is a Side Imaging unit, not compatible with a Down Imaging transducer. That transducer is a trolling motor puck (uses a hose clamp for attaching to a trolling motor) and it should be the XTM 9...

Setting the max depth will lessen the time it takes the unit to recover from losing Depth due to loss of contact with the water. Has zero to do with Temp.

The AS GRHA is the High Accuracy GPS antennna that was discontinued many years ago since the AS GR50 was just as accurate. Then the AS GR50 was replaced by the AS GRP.

Should not make any difference what the Display setting is, a failed piezo would do the same for all of them.
