Thanks guys! I didn’t see a rebuild kit from Yamaha, but saw other websites had one, not sure if Yamaha parts. Do you know of a good kit with all the seals?

Anyone rebuild their own Yamaha lower units? If so any special tools needed (Yamaha tools)? Does the shop manual cover everything? I might buy a shop manual anyway for general use but don’t have it...
Did you find something? I’m looking for same except 06 250 HPDI
I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have any of these pictures with the back deck off? The pics don’t show up anymore.
I’m looking at buying a 2008 zx225 but one of the gas tanks has a...
I did the exact thing last fall on my 2003 206. I'm sure your seat pan is the same. There are screws all the way around the aluminum pan, just dig around the carpet with a screwdriver and you'll find...
I have a 2003 206 and I've had my seat pan out several times for various reasons. There is some clearance behind it, maybe about 2". The metal is aluminum, about 1/8" or 3/16" thick. It's screwed in...
I think it would be a mistake to go with a P rated tire on a trailer! If you change brands, stay with an ST rating and never mix tire sizes or types, get all four the same.
P stands for passenger...
Thanks for all the good info. Sounds like I can't make a bad choice (wish work decisions were like this). I'm leaning towards Hartwell, but I'll check out all these places.
Thanks!
Mark
I am planning a fishing/camping trip (long weekend) to either Lake Hartwell or Russell for mid-June. I've never been to either, but researching the web, I see that Hartwell has been low the last...
Yep, that's it. Thanks! I think I might need those parts http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Here's a brain teaser for you...
Anyone recognize these parts?... I mean specifically where do they go on the 250 HPDI (mine is a 2003).

Generally speaking, whatever rig you have, if you run at WOT all the time, your gas milage will literally suck. So I suggest when you take your test drive, make sure you drive it enough to get a feel...
Hi Jack! I'm 6'3 195, not near as strapping a dude as you, but my 206 has plenty of room for me. The new 210's are basically the same as the 206 and have more leg room under the console due to new...
Thanks Gunnar for putting this together. It's a gem and I'm sure will be referred to many times for newbies to the forum.
Thanks, Pat for sharing your experiences. I am not going to try the...
Check out the 6th post down from top...explained in more detail.
I had overheating at idle, but not the issue with so many registering on the computer. Mine was the impeller plus the poppet valve clogged plus it was hot out.

http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif I'm sure it includes labor or you would know by now.
This is great to happen now and get it over with, especially on their tab. Down the road it may...
Good for you. Are they taking care of the labor too?
Also, they forced the dealer to break-in my new powerhead under strict guidelines, but that was warranty.
The root cause of many of the...
Sounds alot like my 2003 250HPDI...ended up being a blown engine (one cylinder lost compression, but was still running, but not great). Got new powerhead (and all maintenance items including plugs)...
I heard the same from Yamaha as Glenn. If you have at least 11 PSI at all times, run it and don't worry!
There have been a multitude of posts on here about this subject, so research back if you...
Glenn,
Sorry to hear about your ordeal...I hope mine is cured...so far so good, time will tell of course.
I think Yamaha has learned from experiences like yours since they insisted that the...
Austin, I think the dealer told me the newer models come with the bigger battery. I don't know if it's true for all or when they started but maybe yours already has it??
Mine seems to be oiling...
I don't know if it matters how you run it, but I would get alot of hours on it before the warranty runs out! I think if the break in wasn't adequate, at least one cylinder is gonna go sometime, so...
It's been a while, but I thought I would update this...
My dealer installed the new powerhead and had to do it by strict guidelines from Yamaha to get paid for the warranty work. As a matter of...
