Thanks Ranger, I do like the older rangers too and my 391V is great to fish, It has been garaged sence new and the Black with the red and silver looks great to me but I only buy black trucks so keep them clean and they look good. I have had lot's of guys say humm, Nice boat so I hope to get a few more years out of the ole ranger.
Got out of the boating business after twins were born back in 2000. Girls are old enough to enjoy time on the water so convinced the wife a boat would be a good family oriented activity. After initial sticker shock on new boats decided to go used. If I can't have a bass boat right now, then figure a Ranger fish and ski is the next best thing. Got a great deal on this 2004 Reata 210 VS with a 200hp Evinrude RAM Ficht.
Not the fastest boat but would venture to say it's one of the safest. An absolute tank on the water and still runs 54 mph with five folks and a tank full of gas. Kids absolutely love tubing right now. Will get them into fishing this fall and skiing next year. Hope to get many happy fishing trips/family weekends the next six years. Heck, may tow it down to Guntersville next year for my annual trip.
Here's my new-to-me 1989 Comanche 361V. Has a Merc 150 XR4. All in all, a pretty clean rig. I'm getting ready to give it a good wet sand/buffing job to shine it up and return it to it's former glory. New carpet soon, too.
