Do I need to replace fuel lines

I have a 2000 Ranger 518, and I am wondering if I need to replace the fuel line from the tank to the bulb. The current line is black with organge letters.

    Thanks...

Do you use the 3/8 Gray EPA line from both tanks and valve to bulb?

My dealer said the black lines from tank to bulb are ok. He did replace the bulb to engine line with the new EPA gray approved line. I have seen different opinions on the black tank to bulb lines.

So you are asking whether 13 year old aged rubber fuel lines should now be replaced based on tubing type?

Age matters now much more than what color or type or stripe they ever were.

Fuel lines are cheap, injectors and motors are not.

And a fuel leak in a boat is never good either.

I had heard that the black line from the tank to the bulb was ok, but if the black line from the bulb to the motor had orange letters (mine does not) then that line should be replaced. My original post was mainly a concern for the ethanol deterioration rather than being old. The point made about 13 year old lines is a good one though. The only thing is I have to take out the seats to get to the tank.

Find all you need to know here. Mercury - 3 Liter High Performance

    LEN

Recommended replacement line: Mercury or Quicksilver "EPA APPROVED" Line. This line is available in BULK lengths, either 5/16" or 3/8" Inside Diameter (we try to always keep plenty in stock).
The NEW, EPA APPROVED line is GRAY, with BLUE PRINT on the line.

3/8" Line from TANK TO BULB, and 5/16" Line from BULB TO FUEL PUMP INSIDE COWLING (normal installations).
