    Hydrowave comments

Scam or science, anyone catch anything while using it. Truethfully....

Been watching your thread as I'm in the same boat. Was hoping there would be some feedback from the classic but on the "red river" it must have been non issue.

    Re: Hydrowave comments (2old2care)

I have one and I was on schooling fish last weekend along with 4 other boats around me. I caught 8 and everybody else caught 1-3 fish a piece but it may have just been a coincidence. My Hydrowave was playing almost the whole time but I have yet to decide if they really work.

    Re: Hydrowave comments (Jerry Little)

Got to fool around with mine again (2nd trip) this time was tossing frogs in shallow grass. We found some fish and started in on them....started with passive shad and would get a bite now and then. I told my partner that I wanted to play with this thing and told him I was going to put it on frenzy. A few minutes after that we started to catch them regularly and could notice that they were busting the surface more often....after a while it died down so I paused the sound and we fished on, then after 10-15 mins I would turn it on and we would start catching them again.

I am not going to say it was the only reason we caught them...but I feel it sure did increase the activity of those fish.

we spanked 20-30 fish around is on senkos in 3 hours with it on while all others around us caught 1 or 2, you be the judge at least it masks the electronics and trolling motor noises...

I have one on my Ranger and really like it. Only problem I am having is the display seems to be getting hard to see.

I believe inmine, it calls the fish up on screen when vertical fishing and also, in shallow water u will see the shad "popcorn" around you some....Its pretty interesting

Used it during our first circuit tourney last week fishing stump fields on mississippi river pool 13 in 2-4 feet of water. Fished in a lot of traffic, probably 15-20 boats at any given time. Very few fish caught by other boaters right next to us, but when it heated up (water temp. jumped by 3 degress) and the fish moved in, but we had 15-20 bites, boated them all and took second in the tournament. I was not sure how much it would help us, but put it on just to satisfy my curiosity. I am now a firm believer that it does make a difference; All you have to do is ask the guys that watched us catch all those fish around them after they had fished through the same stumps.
    Thanks,

If I can increase my bites by merely 10% by using the hydrowave, then that gives me the opportunity to catch a few more fish.

My bud just bought one last week from Tackle Warehouse, had it out on rainy day and screen is completely fogged up so it is not possible to read the screen. We did have better fishing than another boat without one in tough rainy windy lite bite conditions. I would consider buying one, but that moisture cannot be a good thing on the internal electronics, at almost $400 I would be very disappointing if this is a real problem with no fix. I see there is what appears to be a drain hole, but this looks like an afterthought quick fix and not a real solution.

Anyone else experience this moisture? How long does it take to dry out as it has been several dry days and his is still fogged up? Any word on when the next generation may be coming out that addresses this moisture issue?

Brandon, how can you tell if you have a model that has the moisture issue resolved?

I just won a tournament in very tough conditions using the hydrowave not sure if it had anything to do with it but we won by 8 lbsand I saw several boats using the same baits as I was? Maybe lucky maybe not? But it can't hurt.
