Re: Z-7 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (BMCD)
Has anyone tryed this on the new Z8, I have a Z7 and I took the center seat out of it no problem. I ordered a new Z8 went to dealer today to look at it removed rear storage box, I couldnt get my arm to the bolts on it I think ther is less room between livewell and seats on Z8. Anyone have any ideas.

Re: Z-7, 8, 9 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (GOTTA BIG SACK)
Looks like Nitro need to consider this on the 2011's.
Re: Z-7, 8, 9 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (BMCD)
Exactly. I think it was an option on the Z8 for no center seat until 2010. I dont understand why it is an option for extra money not to have a seat. It should be an option for a center seat. I have maybe had three people in my bass boat 3 times in my life. Its a bass boat not a party barge. Especially on a Z8. Most people are buying that type of boat to fish tournaments and do some pretty serious fishing. Not ride a bunch of people around the lake. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif
Re: Z-7, 8, 9 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (GOTTA BIG SACK)
So if that the original hardware on there? The swivel bracket?
Re: Z-7 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (westexbill)
Flip up or remove the bottom cushion first then you can reach them from the bottom of them. Very hard to reach from the sides by removing the back storage compartments. Doing it this way you do not even need to remove the back compartments. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Thanks got the seat out on my Z8 the carpet glue is drying on the insert to replace the seat. Will post pic if figure it out not to puter smart, if I had to rely on puter to catch fish I would be in deep poop. Thanks Bill.

Yes original hardware. Got the diamond tread at home depot. Automotive Carpet from a local Fabric Store. 3/4" plywood for the step coated in thompsons water seal. Held Diamond tread up and marked with marker from behind to know where to drill the holes. Got maybe $20 in the carpet and diamond tread. Already had plywood. Took maybe 30 minutes from start to finish.http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Re: Z-7, 8, 9 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (BLB1)
A piece of diamond tread from home depot. 3/4" piece of plywood. Automotive carpet. Had to get two stainless steel bolts. I think they were 1" long with nylon lock nuts to bolt the diamond tread. Held the diamond tread where i wanted it and reached underneath with a marker and marked the diamond tread through the existing holes so i would no where to drill the diamond tread. Used the hinge and screws that come with the boat. Just unscrewed them from the seat. You can reach the back rest bolts if you remove the bottom seat first then reach for them from underneath. Not from the rear compartments. And thats pretty much it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Z-7, 8, 9 Center Seat Mod Version 2 (E5Zero)

ANOTHER IDEA for ctr seat.
Charger boats just came up with a pretty cool idea----They carpeted that area between the driver and passenger seat and put a seat post hole in there. You use the rear seat (top portion of rear seat pedestal configuration) Then if your rear boater wants a rear seat in the back it can be taken out of that pedestal and inserted into the rear seat pedestal. Kind of a neat idea.
I know when I have taken 3 in the boat that sometimes there will be 1 of my 2 non boaters that will sit down in back at times while the other is on front deck with me or fishing from the (edit) pit area.
