Re: Skeeter Bling (-BjBnet-)
Can you post a daytime photo of your NAV lights? I'd like to see how they were installed. Is it legal to have NAV lights like that? I have taking my lights out all the time, I'm looking for a way to permanantly install them, powered retractable NAV & Anchor lights would be ideal..I've seen a company that sells a powered retractable Anchor light, but not NAV..

I installed them with automotive 2-way tape then used black silicon to cover up the wires and the hole I drilled to feed the wires through.
as for legal concerns..

If the lighting fixture is stamped by the coast guard then it is legal and they have very specific angles of view that must be met.
That being said and without getting into a legal arguement, the DNR here has been very excited about these lights.
Scot at Night Fishing Solutions has a system that will soon be available in a DIY kit on my site and they will be coast guard stamped. Until then, unless you are driving a tug or tanker, I would not expect to be bothered about your nav lights. .</TD></TR></TABLE>
also, they are mounted at an angle with the edge of my boat being angled, they can be seen from pretty far away, when you look at one from the side you can't see the other and I have to tell you, they are ALOT brighter than that little dinky bulb in the post....which can burn out at any time, when that happens, you have NO light on either side. I still carry the post around though just in case
Re: Skeeter Bling (-BjBnet-)
Thanks for the answers, I too have the LED's installed, I'll have to take some better pics first. I ran 2 strips under the consoles, looks pretty sweet at night. I'm hoping some company creates power retractable Anchor & NAV light kits, would be so nice to hit the switch and watch them rise up into position, I hate digging the pole lights out of my storage bins when it gets dark out..got pulled over by the water sheriff one time already...

Hey BJ,
What's the back end look like? Did you replace the anchor light with another Bluewater system?

For the lights on the deck how are yall running the wires? Are yall drilling holes in the side then running wires thru?

yep, just a tiny hole big enough to run the wires then I use silicone to cover it up, otherwise you'll have wires showing everywhere.

I have them tight to the deck and the wires are pushed under the edge trim. Then they go up under the bow plate and connect to the main wireing. No holes drilled on mine.
