Thanks , as bass fishermen we could all use some seamanship practice .
Thanks! Good tip. :thumb up2:
Wel I learned me something today. Thanks for posting
Thanks for posting. After 60 years I finally learned how to tie a cleat hitch only had to watch it 10 times.
Outstanding information. I have made a bight around the horns, but made the "holding" hitch around the entire cleat. Now I know.
Sooooo, you need a 10 minute video to teach you how to tie off to a cleat?
I wish I could remember this..
It's not rocket science Mike!!
Edit: FYI, my post is directed at 21XDC
Had an old guy teach me that tie off the first time I docked my pontoon in our boat slip at our lakehouse. My wife picked it up quicker than I did. She usually ties us off when we dock, so she gets more practice. Quick, clean, and stays put in my weather.
I never had need to learn when I dock my bass boat because there aren’t any cleats where I put in and take out.
Thanks for the video as a reminder.
Mine have always held, never had an issue. Proven processes are good to know. Sorry I am not of your calibre.

Probably could have installed a set of Talons in the same amount of time.
I was a deck ape in the Navy 55 years ago, I just use a granny knot to tie up, works for me !!
I use the WTF knot with a granny knot. Untieing is tricky.
Everything that anyone needed to know was in the first minute ( or less) of the video. Watching beyond that was ?????
Didn't know anyone had cleats on their boats anymore:confused2:
