Yamaha 25p T1 prop
10'' Atlas Hydraulic
72.5 MPH at 6000 RPMS with full load and 2 people
Called Phoenix and asked for advice on motor set up. Made the changes they recommended and boat responded like they said it would. lowered the motor to 3.25" below the pad and she stopped chime walking and ran 75.6 GPS in not the ideal conditions. drove very good and I am happy with the boat again. dropping the motor sure helped. Everyone else told me to raise the motor. I was out of motor plate adjustment and still had 25 PSI water. I was looking to put a hydraulic motor plate to get more height. The boat drove terrible, Chime walk and two handed. RPM now is 5800 RPM.
I wish I would have known this last summer.
^ That's great news! Excellent numbers!

From 70-72 it drives like a cadillac on rails. At 73 she is a bit of a handful! Cannot seem to get it to 6k RPM without over trimming it, then it is a complete freaking handful and loses top end.
Holeshot is awesome.
I think I need to buy another prop and send it off to Croxton. Any suggestions?

Very impressed with the numbers for this big boat..First time out it had excessive chine walk, raised jp up about 1.5 inches and she drives like a dream now
Lol, no worries!
Well I am getting closer to having my 721 dialed in. I am running a Croxton 26p Tempest Plus re-pitched to 25.5. Hole shot is excellent. I started with the Z-Lock 2-9/16 below pad and have since raised it a 1/4". This weekend my buddy(180) and I (255) (with him driving) hit 73.1 GPS, water temp 79-80 on Sam Rayburn. Chine was there at 72.9, his thought is I can come up a bit more. Rooster tail is still below top of motor. Load was he and I, 1/2 tank of fuel, empty livewells, two power poles, no passenger console, and no seats, etc. It's starting to warm up here in Texas, so running for speed is not going to happen again until late December!
With the water warming up and air temps in the mid-80's, I am pretty happy to get 65-66 with a full load.
