Nice and Clean, I like that

So a I have to ask, do you guys all Tournament fish? You appear to all have $5k or more in electronics....Do the electronics make that much or a difference or are these just your "fancy cars" or "Rolex watches"?
For the record I am jealous of your setups but would have a hell of a time jutisfying that much cash.
I only have about 2K wrapped up in my set-ups (mounts, units, chips) and even though my set-up is considered very basic I think it fits my fishing style and definitely helps me find fish and locations. I am a club guy that fishes a few other events throughout the year as well. I've seen several folks with HDS 12's on bow and console and have a hard time turning them on, let alone being able to use them effectively....I think even the Lowrance Hook line is a series that is easy to use, and very high tech then units 4-5 years ago
This is from my old boat, but it's the same on my new one. I just have a 998hdsi on the bow with a heavy duty ram mount and an old monochrome 728 on the bow with a small ram. My new rig actually uses the 12v outlet on the front to power the front graph so it's easily removable. I'm still happy with the 998, but I need to upgrade the bow unit to a color sometime. That monochrome is hard to see in the sun at times. Something that is ethernet capable on the bow would be nice as well so I can share waypoint. A Helix 7 g2n shoudl fit that bill nicely.

How stable is the 9 on the ram on the bow? I am kicking around using a ram or using a fixed mount.
How do you like that mount over the foot pedal? I have been shopping for an RT188 and that looks sweet
I love my BBT mount at the bow of my RT188. I did lose the use of my cup holder and tool slots but it is worth it to have a steady mount and have it centered in front of me.
My two 7" Helix are mounted as follows. Front is mounted on a 4" BBT Angle Mount to give clearance for tools and drink. Console mount is standard in the console.
One thing i can say and i think Kelster will agree is the 6" hieght of a center bow bracket is awesome. The elevation for viewing and pressing the buttons is great but it doesnt stick up a kile either. Wish i had made mine a long time ago honestly. :thumb up2:
Without a doubt, the 6" rise is AWESOME!!! Not only does it allow you to still use your cup / tool holder, but it is easier on the body when your bending over turning the unit on/off or adjusting settings. I am old and fat (well my teenagers say I am old, and fat is fat), so 2" makes a big difference....you people are sick.....
