Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
Re: Charger 2012 186 (Sports1)
There was one at the tourney with a 150 yamaha 4 stroke and the one time I saw it on the water it was flat flying. It had to be running over 60.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
Can you get this boat with the bigger HDS8 or HDS 10 flush mounted in the console. Also can you get with a single console---possibly removeable?
Re: Charger 2012 186 (E73bass)
I don't think the HDS 8 or 10 would fit flush mounted. Dual console only.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
Nice! Nothing gets up in the shallows like an 18.5 footer!

Too bad you can't get single console tho, a console takes up a ton of room in a boat that size.

This is something I left out ,the 186 ,296,396and 496 ,596 or all the same size on the seating area
This is a big plus,I have been in alot of other boats and smaller the boat the tighter the seating area, heck some I cant even get into the seat, and the gear shifter is way behind me....With the Chargers you wont have this problem. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
I love this size boat. It is a little small for lake O, but you just have to learn to deal with what you got. The smaller boats are not only easier to manuver in and out of the docks, they are better on gas both on the water and towing down the highway. During the owners TX, i went from PB2 to the dam both days, WFO, and a ton of places in between, on one tank of gas with a carburated motor! With a DFI or 4 stroke, you could probably get by with a 25 gal gas tank.
I would like to see this boat with a removable console and put some storage in the rear deck for your partner shtuff. Take one of livewells, move it up front like Matt said and make one of them in the back into a tackle orginizer. Just my 2 cents!

Re: Charger 2012 186 (bassin again)
One of the reasons I'm still in a 18' 7" boat is because of how easy it is to get in and out of gas stations, not to mention how well it gets around a small lake or a congested marina. When I'm on the MO river I just zig-zag around all those big Lund and Ranger walleye boats and zip right up onto my trailer while they are all still waiting. Charger will prolly sell alot of those 186's. Thanks for posting those pics. You guys are really good about that on this forum. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Charger 2012 186 (Royjulius)
A few years ago they made the CX line and they had a 186 CX available in single console---Anyone know if they are still doing that?
Aren't all the 6 series boats modular consoles anyway?(NOT MOLDED IN WITH THE TOP DECK) So they should be available without putting in the passenger console.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (E73bass)
The cx line was the stripped down version of the 195.the new 186 is a wider body and squared
transom. These do not have the the modular consoles, but are the newer euro looking ones.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
Explain this model---4th one down and its a single console.

Re: Charger 2012 186 (E73bass)
Thats the old design, the new new design is totally different.wider rear wider deck, different consolesj.new storage design.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (TOUCH OF CLASS)
Don't all the 6 series boats have MODULAR consoles (NOT molded into the top cap). If so why could you just not get with the single console?
Re: Charger 2012 186 (E73bass)
No, the consoles are molded into the top cap. They cannot be removed.
Re: Charger 2012 186 (Tommy13)
So the 797 is the first bass boat Charger has built with Modular Consoles?
Re: Charger 2012 186 (E73bass)
Re: Charger 2012 186 (Tommy13)
Got it----so this 186 has a hull similar to the 797---but top cap is more like the current newly reintroduced 195 except for the modular consoles that both e NEW 195 and 791 offer.
This 186 really needs modular consoles---so can have single console.
