I got a 225 hpdi with some hydrotec goodies on it.
Got mine back with a new powerhead and stuff. Definitely runs good now!

I HAVE A 2005 RANGER Z21 250 HPDI AND THE PHASE 2 KIT DID NOT HELP AT ALL!!!! I THOUGHT IT HAD MADE A DIFFERENCE WHEN I RAN IT SATURDAY MORNING BUT I GUESS IT WAS B/C THE WATER AND AIR WAS COOLER AND THE LATER AND WARMER IT GOT THE MORE IT GOT BACK TO NORMAL AND STOCK AS HELLLLL IT WAS!!! SO DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU GOT A RANGER!! THEN I RAN IT THIS AFTERNOON AND IT WOULDNT EVEN HIT 69 SO GUESS I WASTED A BUNCH OF MONEY. WANNA GO FAST? DONT BUY A RANGER. WANT COMFORT? THEN ITS A GOOD BUY. STROKER, BULLET, BLAZER ARE SOME REASONABLY COMFORTABLE BOATS WITH SPEED. WANNA GO FAST GET THE RIGHT BOAT!!! THATS MY ADVICE.
I call BS on the above post. I gained 20 mph on my boat with hydrotec mods. test some different props.
IF ITS BS? IT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE PROP I HAD AND TURNED THE HELL OUT OF IT. U THINK? AND THIS SHOULD MAKE U HAVE TO GET ANOTHER PROP. BUT I HAVE RAN 4 DIFFERENT JUST TO MAKE U FEEL BETTER. THE HOLE SHOT SHOULD BE MUCH IMPROVED WITH THE STOCK PROP BUT NOTHING HERE. THE ONLY INCREASE WAS WHEN IT MUCH COOLER EARLY IN MORNING. WISH IT WORKED I SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY FOR NOTHING. RUNS GOOD BUT ITS JUST STOCK.
Just a little update on my motor(pro-v200). I sent the powerhead in to hydro tec and the built and tuned it. When I got it back It ran great. Improved for 74 to 77.2 with the same prop (26 tempest) with great holeshot. I ran a 29 trophy to 81.4 Gps @ 6300 rpm but hole shot was terrible so I went back to the 26 tempest. I took the boat and motor to hydrotec and they are doin some more tunin to it there and we will see how it runs when I get it back I'll post the #'s when I get it back. Got her back last friday and she runs great we ran at the gambler rally on table rock right at 80 gps and that lake hs no straight runs on it to really open it up.
Anyone got any ideas why a 250 hpdi would be throwing codes on tps sensor and its within spec and it runs terrible and will not even get on plane?
is your boat command link? and have you verified your input voltage to your tps?
ZX185c, phase 1-- 150 vmax, 27" Temp+, 69.8mph @ 5900rpm 1 person full tank of gas. I haven't played with my setup or run a light load yet. I am getting my prop B&B soon.
Before the kit It usually ran 60-62mph @ 5700-5900rpm with 1 person, my top speed was 63.5mph with 25" temp+

My dad has a 98 procraft with a 97 pro v 200 modified airbox
reeds excel intake tuner heads. And saw no change in speed
rpm's take off power and it cracks up on top end. Maybe Wayne
can help me out with this. Matt knows the block. It's the one
that got rebuilt at ht that had a broken locating pin and a
ring upside down. A bent rod and unbalanced compression.
We can't figure out why it cracks up at above 4800 all electrical
components check out fine. Carbs are clean could mains be too small

Charles, I don't know where you were, but I can think of several areas to air it out. One of which is Aunt's creek. HT even uses this area for R&D. White rock bluff area is another. Going up channel from Mill creek to Joe Bald. Or, take the turn up White river heading towards Baxter around the small islands. Out in front of Shell knob area before 39 bridge. Just before 86 bridge and Long creek arm. Point 12 area. Just in front of Wooley creek....etc.
