Has anyone installed a ratchet style boat buckle on your aluminum trailer? I have a x19 with the BIG welded eye attachment. I will have to drill a hole in the frame to do this.
Is this ok and does anyone have pictures?

Can drill through frame (watch out for wiring) or a good place is around the tail light area. A lot of times there are predrilled holes there. They make boat buckle mounting brackets that help with giving different angles etc. as well.
As shown above, I have them installed also, works great.
Perfect. Thanks guys.
I mounted mine directly to the tubing that the eyelet is welded to so I didn’t have to drill the frame and it also gets it out far enough that the strap doesn’t rub the boat bottom but you’ll need an L bracket for install.
What brand strap is that? I am looking to put them on a 22Bay. Thanks, I am seeing them on amazon, but prices vary alot between the same brands
Mine are the stainless Boat Buckles.
I HAVE A X24 I HAD TO DRILL HOLES IN MINE BECAUSE I HAVE TRIM TABS. DID NOT HURT ANYTHING!!!!
I just mounted some on my new x19. Used the mounting brackets sold seperately and mounted them close to the tail light on the crossmember. Worked real well.
